jomarr Posted November 10 Posted November 10 My second fave Britney album only after Blackout. Love it!!!
Unusualyou Posted November 10 Posted November 10 Cinderella and Lonely are pop perfection, i would love to hear Lonely versión before Darkchild reworked
WhateverYouWant Posted November 10 Posted November 10 (edited) This is the first album I ever bought I think. I love I'm a Slave 4 U, Overprotected and Boys to this day. Lonely and Before the Goodbye are soo good too. As a kid I loved Cinderella and Bombastic Love. Anticipating too. A great album. Pretty sure the label wanted Bombastic Love as a single and Britney said nope. Edited November 10 by WhateverYouWant

My favorite Britney Era. Everything was perfect visually. Her best tour too. To this day I wish Cinderella was a single. Imagine the music video don't be too harsh on ING. it was big hugs outside of US and considered as one of her classics.

B-Luke Posted November 10 Posted November 10 Absolutely loved this era from front to back. I remember getting the album not once but twice as a little kid for Christmas lmao. Though I honestly had the IAS4U b-side track Intimidated more on repeat than anything off of the album at the time speaking of which, let me listen to it right now.

Done something slightly sexy and then go harder on slave. I agree with this. B could've waited to go sexy hard on In the Zone. cos Like I said, IS4U is the only sexual song on the album, it doesnt feel like it belongs on the Britney album.
AlanRickman1946 Posted Wednesday at 01:38 AM Posted Wednesday at 01:38 AM Anticipating was supposed to be a single and a homage to Janet Jacksons All For You. It was even used in a Vios commercial.

If was a mixture of Britney herself and the record lable.

dumbsparce Posted Wednesday at 02:45 AM Posted Wednesday at 02:45 AM Her best album and my personal favorite. There's so much variety in it and the unintentional lack of cohesiveness just works perfectly with how interwined it is with the movie and that the overall theme of the era was literally "not a girl, not yet a woman".
Xtripped Posted Wednesday at 03:05 AM Posted Wednesday at 03:05 AM Underrated album, Britney and ITZ are her best albums. I was in love with Slave and Overprotected.

I feel that like they should've made what you see is what you get a single and pushed up the sexy image more on that so it would've transitioned better into slave. Don't let me be the last to know kinda did it but it was a ballad and wasn't that big. Also she ended the oops era only months and the last big single was stronger which wasn't REALLY sexy I have the same issue with xtina. I feel like she needed a second English album instead of that stupid Xmas album (still love it vocally) to bridge the gap from ST to lady marmalade to dirty they both seemed to just 180 to sexy with no bridge. Janet did it best imo. She went from conservative on control and RN. they got sexier on LWND at the end of RN as a bridge . Then way sexy on Janet. Then full out on velvet rope and all for you Edited Wednesday at 03:13 AM by Mtjjproducer
