She hasn't had a nomination in like over 10 years?? :deadbanana2:

None. She was never the best and never deserved it over at least one other nominee. That's what you get for releasing cheap hits manufactured in the Dr Luke factory.

WA & DH.

Teenage Dream lost to Bad Romance and I kind of disagree? TFM getting Pop Album and TD getting Pop Perf would have been more fitting, in hindsight. But that's about it

Also, Never Really Over should have been nominated and won in 2020 over Lizzo's Truth Hurts. The other nominees were also lowkey garbage

All of them tbh.

Im genuinely shocked she doesn't have any grammys. She felt really big in elementary school.

I loved Teenage Dream and Prism. Even Smile and Witness had some good songs.

The committee made the right choices in those years

Can you include the other nominations in the categories for comparison? :-* That would make it easier

Teenage Dream, Roar, Dark Horse and the Teenage Dream album deserved something, but other than that…

I genuinely don't think she deserved to winner any of her nominations, except maybe the 1 Dark Horse got. Literally went through all of them just now and listed who I think should've won too -

2009: Female Pop Vocal Performance - Chasing Pavements (they got this right)

2010: Female Pop Vocal Performance - Halo (they got this right)

2011: Album of the Year - The Fame Monster (they got this wrong, but TFM deserved over TD)

2011: Pop Vocal Album - The Fame Monster (they got this right)

2011: Pop Collaboration with Vocals - Telephone (they got this wrong, but Telephone deserved over CG)

2011: Female Pop Vocal Performance - Bad Romance (they got this right)

2012: Record of the Year - Rolling In the Deep (they got this right)

2012: Pop Solo Performance - Someone Like You (they got this right)

2013: Pop Solo Performance - Set Fire to the Rain (Live) (they got this right, especially after Katy's disastrous live performances of this song)

2014: Pop Solo Performance - When I Was Your Man (they got this wrong imo, I think WIWYM is a more impressive song than Royals, but nonetheless don't think Roar should've won)

2014: Song of the Year - Royals (they got this right)

2015: Pop Duo/Group Performance - Bang Bang (they got this wrong, Say Something is super boring and unimpressive to me. I think this category is probably the CLOSEST she ever got to winning a grammy. DH is actually my favorite song in this category. However, Juicy J adds nothing to make the song better, and this category is about collaborators and groups coming together to mix strengths and make a great group effort. That's why I would've given this to Bang Bang - 3 strong artists who none could have been left off or the song wouldn't have worked)

2015: Pop Vocal Album - In the Lonely Hour (they got this right)

ok wow she really deserved nothing

There were way more stronger nominees

No noms since Prism era is... :suburban:

Hard to say without seeing the other nominees.

IKAG or Prism maybe

She was lucky to even just be nominated, considering how panned her albums, sans PRISM, are :rip:

considering the competitions, i would say her biggest chances were in Pop Collab for California Gurls (lost to an Imagine cover) and Pop Duo for Dark Horse (lost to Xtina)

i was so sure she had Dark Horse win in the bag, i guess they just hate dr luke back then (no song with dr luke credit had won until Kiss Me More/Unholy)

also i feel like she could've won Best Music Film for Prismatic World Tour film cause it was a great concert and that's also how Madonna won her first grammy but they didn't send it or Walking on Air for Best Dance Recording but not eligible due to the rules at the time

Her most deserving win would've been Pop Vocal Album for 'PRISM'.
