Armani? Posted November 8 Posted November 8 Their coalition goal is theoretically almost complete, which I thought at 1st wasn't even possible, I scoffed at the idea just a month ago If men overall somehow get up to 57 to 58% Republican in vote it's going to be extremely hard to win elections for Democrats They wanted to get Latino & Black men. Well they have Latino men now, they have White men. The overall Asian vote shifted from 61% Dem to 54% Dem So there's only one big group of voters left they have to plummet Democrat margins with they have only seen minimum gains(79% Biden to 77% Kamala) despite the extreme hyperfocus - Black Men. If they succumb to the right, it's over 🧍🏿♂️ Of course, Latino Men can swing back I guess, as well as Asian Men in the immediate elections. But the fact this is even possible is very concerning.
Radical Pessimism Posted November 8 Posted November 8 (edited) It's possible because these men will never vote for a woman, that's why trump only lost when he ran against Biden, and won in 2016 and 2024. The democrats needs a white man to win. Edited November 8 by Radical Pessimism 1 1

Sabrina Carpenter Posted November 8 Posted November 8 Latinos voting for Trump baffles me Spoiler i heard my conservative non American dad and my republican Aunt talking (we're Asian) saying Trump winning was good because the US has too many Latinos now 1
Mordecai Posted November 8 Posted November 8 2028 will be very interesting. The republican party as it stands lives and dies with Trump, when he leaves office they will be in shambles trying to find a replacement because there is no one who has that kind of appeal. The democrat voters that flipped this election are going to be less convinced by a Vance or a DeSantis It's not over for the democrats like everyone thinks it is at the moment but they have a lot of work to do. If they don't learn from their mistakes then they will be in serious trouble 14

You can argue that some Republicans can replicate his attitude like that Florida governor who wants to be a mini Trump, but he failed in the primary even though his spewing hatred didn't work. The next election is gonna be interesting because there's gonna be a trump wannabe in every corner. 1

The next election is gonna be interesting because there's gonna be a trump wannabe in every corner. Look at Mark Robinson in North Carolina & Kari Lake In Arizona. Both of them are trump-like candidates and they lost their races. Only trump gets to get away with all that bullshit. Every other republican doesn't get the same benefit. If trump leaves they'll be in trouble because no other candidate of theirs has the same charisma. They've tried and they always end up losing.
Sannie Posted November 8 Posted November 8 I mean, they're going to deport the people they claim they're going to rely on so good luck to them. 1
Onyxmage Posted November 8 Posted November 8 This is funny. People change their minds drastically based on what happens to them. When trump starts targeting minorities they will switch like ******* back to the Democratic party.
HausOfPunk Posted November 8 Posted November 8 We can say a lot about Republicans, but they are masters of playing the long game to achieve their political goals. Democrats could learn a thing or two from them. 1

Armani? Posted November 9 Author Posted November 9 Guess we'll know in midterms if this implies a permanent shift for Texas
AvadaKedavra Posted November 9 Posted November 9 (edited) He won with native americans too. Its honestly scary the pull of this guy how he's able to attract so many people. He's ugly. hateful. a liar. dumb Edited November 9 by AvadaKedavra 1
Marianah Adkins Posted November 9 Posted November 9 Dems should be grateful that this is a 2004 blowout not a 1932 one. The Dems can still recover but that is if they actually learn the lessons right. And no, just because Trump's gonna flop hard doesnt mean they would move back to the Democrats. They can either just abstain and not vote or be engaged by a Democrat who can actually connect with their fears and needs. Whether the latter will happen will depend on how the Dems will reconfigure what they are as a party. Its just interesting that in 2012, it was the GOP that was going to disappear into irrelevance and the Dems were going to have demographic destiny, only for it to switch 12 years later
