aadrl1 Posted November 7 Posted November 7 (edited) Is it hypocritical for ATRLers to bring up the working class now? Certain users have dedicated months boycotting politicians open to cross-aisle efforts (a betrayal to liberal causes, they say), Canceling other liberals and even progressives one by one over any single differing opinion or random people's tweet (AOC, Hasan, Newsom, Schumer, Hakeem Jeffries, Mark Kelly, Josh Shapiro... TRASH, CANCELED, they say) Shutting off any left-leaning policy proposals they consider not progressive enough, Not to mention the single-issue voters (non-voters) here who simply don't care about others (so working class?) Bernie Sanders has every right to speak on this matter because he is not on the internet canceling this and that. He has been consistent and genuine about his policies. He expressed willingness to work cross-aisle for the working class people back in June when he backed Biden's campaign Isn't it hypocritical for certain "Progressive or Everyone Bust" users to pull out stats on the working class now while 99% of their talking points have been issues that the working class don't care about? instead of health care, wages or taxes? BrokenMachine Posted November 8 Posted November 8 Your comment seems way too specific for certain people. Maybe talking to them would do better than opening a thread asking us about it 3
NEX Posted November 8 Posted November 8 ATRL is one of the most delusional and disconnected from reality places you could ever meet anyway. Most people here are chronically online, completely stuck in their online bubbles and have no grasp on actual issues and realpolitik outside of those bubbles. So many here adopt hardline stances and curate their personalities dedicated excessively to certain countries or some rainbow coalition issues as if nothing else exists in this world. And they would steamroll over anyone who doesn't agree. It also doesn't help that the leadership of this forum has been taken in one specific uncompromising direction where only a specific type of opinion can thrive and everything else is suppressed. Pity because this forum was a lot more diverse and fun even 10 years ago 3 3
