CristianGarcia Posted November 8 Posted November 8 Well both Katy and Gaga are not multi dimensional like Ariana or Rihanna. Chromatica came at a perfect timing with the resurgence of pop music but it was still bad so what now? The only thing keeping Gaga afloat is she is respected as a vocalist so being a ballad girl has benefited her. But that'll get tiring after a while too… 1 1 1 1

A hit is a hit, whether it's solo or not. 1 hour ago, Shelter said: The monsters started the "no solo hits" and now it's backfired years later. THIS. Liddos came up with this success metric and used it to drag other artists for years. Now it suddenly doesn't matter? It mattered to y'all when you wanted to drag Bey and elevate Gaga. YOU pushed this narrative and kept using it for years. These are YOUR standards. So going by YOUR logic that you used to downplay Beyonce's success for years, Gaga is FINISHED and DONE. You reap what you sow. 2 19 3

Well Beyonce came back from it with Cuff It & Texas Hold Em so why can't Gaga? She WAS washed for years doing Ed Sheeran and J Balvin collabs but came back to the charts solo eventually. You'd think the Beyhive would sit this one out cause they've seen how it can end. 1
TipToe Posted November 8 Posted November 8 That's just the truth tea honey Gaga solo musique has struggled to be popular for more than a decade. ASIB was an exception. She is not like Beyoncé that can flop with singels but is able to make noise with her alberms, she is much more like Katy Perry these days... the difference is that she has a more loyal fan base that doesn't abandon her when she flops which helps keeping her brand alive. Maybe she's like Madonna post Hard Candy but without groundbreaking eras and classic alberms outside the early years. 1 1
Migs Posted November 8 Posted November 8 A #1 is a #1 regardless. Check your fave's last single performance before coming for Gaga. 5

And you'd think liddos would learn to stop comparing her to Beyonce after the series of consecutive historic bombs she released, the most recent one being her heavily play-listed, lead single, but yall never learn and seem to enjoy the humiliation every time. 10

Beyonce has never flopped to come back from anything. She just didn't release an album for 6 years. Lemonade's lead single (Formation) was a solo hit. Ren's lead single (BMS) was a solo #1 hit. CC's lead single (THE) was a solo #1 hit Joanne's lead single (PI) was a solo flop. Chroma's lead single (SL) was a solo flop. And now Disease is the next solo flop lead single 3 1
Acuminatus Posted November 8 Posted November 8 (edited) First Fox News dragging Beyonce, and now Vulture is dragging Lady Gaga for their chart related floppery? And Katy getting dragged everywhere I wonder which major outlet next is going to start behaving like ATRL. Edited November 8 by Acuminatus
