Some of you aren't as different from the MAGA crowd as you think you are! oh, so we're already back to the bad faith prodding I see No - no one is excited about anyone's harm. Yes, dems not showing up to vote impacted the overall vote counts significantly. Edited November 6 by ImpressMeMuch 1 8
SoldierofLove Posted November 6 Posted November 6 If Israel's goal wasn't to snatch the land for themselves, you best believe Trump would be warming up to launch those nuclear bombs.

Now we have this monstrosity about to commit his deeds in the name of Israel. It's so sad. Good luck protesting too. It's over. 1

Popular Post Archetype Posted November 6 Popular Post Posted November 6 (edited) Well yes, he's been saying this throughout his entire campaign and even while he was president. He even has plans for a luxury hotel in Israel. And yet we had people dumb enough to say "they're the same". Criticizing Harris for her support of Israel was the right thing to do, but the general *attitude* that leftists had about her and the casualness of saying "I'm not going to vote because of her support for Israel" 100% had an impact on the Dem turnout in young demographics. Maybe it was a small impact, but amongst those who I know and personally had to convince to get their asses to the voting booth, it was real. I have always said that any realistically electable US president will support Israel, it's non-negotiable due to US interests that will outlive us all. This was always going to be a losing game for those who thought otherwise, and now it's a REAL losing game because we have 4 more years of Trump. However, after seeing popular vote numbers and the general sentiment Republicans and undecided voters have about the economy and inflation, I don't think the anti-Kamala sentiment from leftists hurt her chances that much. It seems that the perception of the economy and the prices of common goods were the main motivating factors, and that Dems could have thrown any electable candidate in her position and they still would have lost because this happened while Dems were in office. Spoiler I was on line to vote behind a group of minority voters who were openly pro-Trump (in NYC of all places) saying they can't handle the price of groceries anymore, and one of them (a young woman) was complaining about competition with trans people and "ladyboys". dawnettakins Posted November 6 Posted November 6 Aah yes, let's blame everyone and everything but the candidate and subpar campaign that clearly failed miserably. Clearly, people have learned nothing from 2016 or, now, 2024. 11 1
