Did celebrity endorsements and huge crowd sizes matter?

I mean, evidently - no. Not as much as fake news + propaganda :chick3:

Fake news + propaganda was on Kamala's side too, boo.

Celebrity have never really mattered. Nobody cares what billionaires Taylor Swift and Beyoncé have to say about politics when they're struggling to afford groceries. You would appeal to more voters if you platformed construction workers and teachers.

Celeb endorsements need to go away forever

People think they are being manipulated by the media and choose the other side

People believe conspiracies right now, that's why Trump and the right wing have taken over

I agree. I think endorsements like the one from Taylor, just add to short term momentum and give a nice headline but other than that...no. Once all these performers were announced to be preforming for Kamala (gaga, katy, xtina, ect) I got a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach and here we are.

The only reason Kamala talked about crowd sized was to troll Trump and it worked. Kamala still got 66 million votes. People are acting like he got 80 million and she got 1 million. :dies:  Yeah yeah and I know you are gonna say but he still won? Okay? but the endorsements definitely helped her get more votes so it wasnt a negative thing.

You are telling us that she was going to get less votes than that if if was not for our MPGs? :O

Kamala did good not associating with them much in the beginning of her campaign but for some weird reason they went full Hillary 2016 mode towards the last month of her campaign

This, but in general. Books will be written about the sudden swerve in strategy in September/October. We went from "they're weird" and wholesome Walz to Liz ******* Cheney and celeb rallies. :hoetenks:

and the polls reflected it too! it's wild to me. Like she skyrocketed when she coded progressive, fresh, different and even a bit socialist in the begining (especially after her pick of Tim instead of Josh) and then it ALL crumbled because her Biden advisors stepped in and told her to tone it down and to start working on centrists and neocons like Liz :rip: They thought they consolidated the progressives BUT the thing they didnt realize is progressives are skeptics by nature and the minute they saw her cozying up to the lobbiests, neocones and CHENNEYS of all ppl they went back to being dorment, or went with their seemingly populist candidate (Trump x JD) or voted with their consciousness (Jill Stein and other third parties or protest votes). HUGE mistake. Had she kept doing what she was doing at first by consistently activating the progressives and populists while throwing a small bone here and there for centrists or conservatives, this would have been a BLOW OUT.

Well not really I just dont think it hurt her like some people are suggesting. Rallies are really just to get people energized and like I said, Kamala got almost 60 million votes. Thats really good.

On a more serious note, the Democratic model of pandering is outdated at best and tone deaf at worst. Imagine thinking Beyonce or Cardi have the kind of following and influence to potentially shift an election. Everyone sees right through it. It's not the 90s anymore.

You all will be back to witch hunting female celebrities for not endorsing the next dem candidate in 2028, let's not :celestial5:.

Im tired of this narrative. As if Trump himself wasn't a celebrity before running. Also he had elon as his dog the entire campaign
