Tropez Posted November 6 Posted November 6 On Atrl and online the big thing was talking about how big Kamala's crowd sizes were, the amount of celebrity endorsements, and the memes. But Kamala lost the popular vote and the electoral vote. Despite Trump having smaller crowds and little endorsements. Or is it because many people are in a bubble with those who think like them. And failed to see how large the other side is? 2
ImpressMeMuch Posted November 6 Posted November 6 (edited) I mean, evidently - no. Not as much as fake news + propaganda Edited November 6 by ImpressMeMuch 1 1
Onyxmage Posted November 6 Posted November 6 The only reason Kamala talked about crowd sized was to troll Trump and it worked. Kamala still got 66 million votes. People are acting like he got 80 million and she got 1 million. Yeah yeah and I know you are gonna say but he still won? Okay? but the endorsements definitely helped her get more votes so it wasnt a negative thing.
Popular Post IBeMe Posted November 6 Popular Post Posted November 6 (edited) It might have hurt her actually. There's an all time disgust with celebrities due to the Diddy stuff going mega mainstream and what not and just the overall elitism associated with celebs. Kamala did good not associating with them much in the beginning of her campaign but for some weird reason they went full Hillary 2016 mode towards the last month of her campaign and suddenly it felt like the dems were the party of the elites all over again. populism is the future of politics. You need someone who codes as one of the people. Now more than ever a Bernie type is needed but I have a feeling dems will peddle a conservative white man next instead of trying to activate the millions of dorment progressives and populists. And people who couldn't vote (too young, not American, etc.) were probably voicing their opinions online, which made Kamala supporters believe they had it in the bag. Edited November 6 by LovingDays

If it didn't hurt her, it at the very least pushed people away that were already against her. I mean, the MAGA crowd literally started harassing anyone who endorsed or showed support to Kamala in any way. Have you seen that AI picture of JLo, Diddy and a crowd at one of his parties? They passed it around as if it was real, and I'm sure some idiots thought it was. 3
dawnettakins Posted November 6 Posted November 6 (edited) I think it backfired. As did the campaigning with neocons like Liz Cheney and laundering the reputation of other neocon Republicans who literally NO ONE likes, such as Dick Cheney. Those people are warmongerers, and even Republican voters can't stand them, yet Kamala and her campaign kept cozying up to them. They won't learn their lesson either, just blame leftists and Arab Americans and any other demographic they can blame instead of themselves for running a lousy, subpar campaign. LittleStarmen Posted November 6 Posted November 6 No but the good thing that it proved that Tatylor swift is not relevant. 1 4
Walk_Away21 Posted November 6 Posted November 6 No they did more harm than good. Seeing Beyonce in Baywatch clothes saying to vote Kamala coming from an out of touch billionaire isn't going to influence anybody in say Nebraska. People need to stop clamoring for celeb endorsements. 5
shyboi Posted November 6 Posted November 6 it made her and halitosis tim look desesperate, specially when they changed their whole branding to fit the brat aesthetic i don't blame the other celebs tho, their intentions were pure, at least Beyoncé and Taylor 1
Sharamee6 Posted November 6 Posted November 6 (edited) Celebrity endorsements backfired this time. Not even Taylor was able to help Flopala win. Edited November 6 by Sharamee6

thatsmydemi Posted November 6 Posted November 6 They backfired. Nobody cares about celebs or artists when it comes to politics except when it's time to drag them.

Katamari Posted November 6 Posted November 6 They don't do anything to get democrats voting but republicans love it when a celeb joins their cause
Glam Posted November 6 Posted November 6 Who is going to change their vote because some celebrity endorsed someone? X and ATRL were crucifying some artists who didn't publicly endorse Kamala. So out of touch.

Our millionaire faves are all irrelevant too if that's your metric. Now imagine the relevance of the person from the front camera of your phone with that kind of attitude you have.

bliaz Posted November 6 Posted November 6 It is detrimental to mix the celebrity world with politics.
sweetblindness Posted November 6 Posted November 6 I voted Kamala, but part of me thinks that the overwhelming amount of celebrity support for her alienated the "common man" even further. 2
Trent W Posted November 6 Posted November 6 Celeb endorsements need to go away forever People think they are being manipulated by the media and choose the other side People believe conspiracies right now, that's why Trump and the right wing have taken over 1
