Why are so many minorities voting for this man as well? Clearly there's a lot i don't know about america and it's not directly related to politics. 7 14
Jude Posted November 6 Posted November 6 I mean I can't blame you. Some of them are mentally challenged like this one: 1
brraap Posted November 6 Posted November 6 Americans are very easy to spot in the wild. Loud, obnoxious, think the world revolves around them. Living in some sort of fantasy sitcom. I would say the main reason the orange man won is because of conspiracy theories and the lack of critical thinking skills amongst his voting pool. As an outsider I was genuinely shocked to see him have such support when it came to voting day. Kamala was the very obvious choice. Trump is the final nail in America's coffin. 3 8 2

Don't most of them have the same literacy level as an 11-12 year old?

I mean, the whole story of that country revolves around opression and feeling superior to others, so minorities voting for someone like that is just 'fitting' for them, since minorities in the US that get an ounce of privilege become the first ones that try to opress other people

Saintlor Posted November 6 Posted November 6 Everyone acting like it's only America that has a problem All of our countries do. It's just that America is more relevant and people don't care for talking about countries as much 1 7
Katygato Posted November 6 Posted November 6 Not only is the whole world shifting (far-)right, Trump himself has fanboys all over the globe.

The root issues that are pushing more and more (especially middle aged) Americans towards the far-right can be found internationally. The primary difference is the way in which conspiratorial beliefs are platformed in the US - there is an industry, especially post-2015, of fear and hate specifically built around issues that apply to Americans. The problem isn't just that Americans are uneducated when it comes to what they're voting for: it's instead that the sources that misinform or warp the information are massively platformed and as a business aim at retaining those audiences. 1 4
Mr.X Posted November 6 Posted November 6 TBH so am I.... it's a neo-liberal society built on exploitation and war crimes, and it continues to get worse and worse. No social fabric, just individuals competing with massive corporations and literally killing each other. It's a sick society and the whole world suffers because of it. 2
dumbsparce Posted November 6 Posted November 6 Well most Americans I have encountered outside of the US ranged from nice individuals to bland but hot so no complaints from me 1 3

Now we will get even more of them moving to Europe, sadly... 2

Most countries exhibit the same issues the US is facing - just none that have had this much influence 1 1

Pheromosa Posted November 6 Posted November 6 Trump-isim has been spreading and will accelerate now, we'll all be afraid of each other soon enough
Soda Pop Queen Posted November 6 Posted November 6 I am too sometimes and I am an American lol Also, Bowie's 'Earthling' album is underrated, his whole 90s decade really.

Yeah our education system has been underbudget and deteriorating for a while now. Misogyny, racism and general bigotry for anyone who's not a white male is also sadly embroidered deeply within the rot that is the foundation of the origins of the country. It has seeped any and everywhere it can. The best tool to fight the rot is educating yourself to be better (and it's proven more educated people typically vote more democrat), but republicans have done a remarkable job keeping people dumb.
