B-Luke Posted November 6 Posted November 6 Expect more exhaustingly long #1 runs (remember Shape of You, Despacito, Rockstar in 2017). But ****, we already have that with ABS right now
RoughOperator Posted November 6 Posted November 6 Radical optimism underperforming was actually a foreshadowing

But ****, we already have that with ABS right now I mean... Morgan Wallen's "Last Night" got 16 weeks at #1 last year, tying "Despacito" and "One Sweet Day" for second-longest run. Harry Styles' "As It Was" also had an exhausting 15 weeks on top back in 2022. This trend is more reflective of the streaming era granting greater longevity and the disconnect from radio programmers rather than anything related to a given political climate. 4

Tell Taylor to ditch HER A.S.A.P. and I'll buy 20 copies of The Anthology vinyls. Just texted her! See you in Target 11/29. I'll hold your spot in line. Edited November 6 by Gladiator

blown away Posted November 6 Posted November 6 It's about time that Mariah, Britney and Gaga release new albums. Their creative output thrived in the Republican era.
ontherocks Posted November 6 Posted November 6 (edited) Everybody seems to have forgotten about the recession pop. Usually when times get hard, pop music gets lighter. However, this time around America wanted this outcome real bad, so not sure how pop music will be affected, if at all. Edited November 6 by ontherocks 2
AvadaKedavra Posted November 6 Posted November 6 Looks like the camp thing with Sabrina-Chappell is over this revival of happy pop is blocked like the early 2020s disco one Now artists wil go back to Country, Pop Rock will be trendy again and EMO Maybe Gaga was ahead of her time with her upcoming gothic record America has a Disease and is called Populism-Hate
CherryBay Posted November 6 Posted November 6 More quality music will get released because now everyone will be focused how much they hate current situation of the US at that time
