Trent W Posted November 5 Posted November 5 The only people that know her is twitter and swifties I've said it this week and say it again This girl's small rise is alarming because we all know she's buying her way in All she had to do is move some connections, open for taylor, get a few swifties on board( look at the avis defending her) and buy some play-listing The never ending cycle of industry plants will never end like this, the much better artists are lurking in the Shadows because people like this girl. 3 3
brutal Posted November 5 Posted November 5 While Twitter was panning ILYIS, TikTok was stanning it. Elon's app is completely irrelevant lol.

The song is massive on TikTok. It's not about playlisting exposure at all.
fememeist Posted November 5 Posted November 5 Unlike tate mcrae who had a slow rise, this girl just got pushed out if nowhere bc her past releases were under the radar
thatsmydemi Posted November 5 Posted November 5 I thought y'all had already learned by now that twitter likes mean nothing after Normani's album announcement. 2
Joaco95 Posted November 5 Posted November 5 shes friends with taytay, ofc her fanbase is gonna play her and protect this miss girl 2

Dolce Vita Posted November 5 Posted November 5 tbh it probably worked in her favour and made people check her out who previously weren't familiar with her. it made me listen to i love you im sorry and i kinda love it
WokeEqualist Posted November 5 Posted November 5 It's almost as if "twitter backlash" has no real impact on real life it's the definition of an echo chamber

AshleyLovescats887 Posted November 5 Posted November 5 Well, let's look at her blow up in a more analytic lense. 'That's So True' blowing up matters a lot since it means that people are keeping up with the artist and not just ignoring their next input. Autoplay and payola can only get you so far, so this is very important. (Also I have to mention that 'That's So True' is a deluxe track and a post-album-release song (not even a single) that has no visual/MV and barely any promo other than the live performance.) Gracie already has a rather stable fanbase (swifties, whether we like it or not, are extremely dedicated to their favs) and she is an albums artist rather than a singles artist, so she will always have moderate success even if a song doesn't become a GP hit. Considering that stan twitter has been dragging this girl through hell for being a nepo baby, the sticky situation and white girl music labelling, her stans will be more likely to stay if she gets into more mess. If we take this from a live perspective, Gracie's opener performances on eras tour has went from barely having any response, to people actually singing the songs. Obviously this doesn't tell much about her solo shows, but if she could have a lot of sold out shows (and a lot of nights added) prior to the success of 'I Love You, I'm Sorry', i am sure she won't have much trouble with tickets. so overall i would say that there is a really high chance that Gracie Abraham will be the next Main Pop Girl, unless she fucks up real hard with her third album. 1
unclefloprry Posted November 5 Posted November 5 She is just being boosted by the "Tayblessings", once Swfit "endorses" another basic white girl she will be forgotten like HAIM, Halsey, Camila, Lorde and more and more. It's on history books 1
