princedonte Posted November 3 Posted November 3 (edited) I love but I'll go with Girls Aloud. Edited November 3 by princedonte 1

I used to think that way too. 5H has some strong singles but those albums are messy... And I finally gave Little Mix a chance, found out they have stronger bodies of work but still... they're a very sanitized/uninteresting group that lacked identity. Let's delete both 1
Odette Violet Posted November 3 Posted November 3 Sugababes has Mutya so that gives them an edge I would go for Girls Aloud, not too familiar with them 1 1 1
toast Posted November 3 Posted November 3 Girls Aloud. Edged out by DC and Sugababes in terms of music, and Spice Girls in terms of impact. 1
Mr.X Posted November 4 Posted November 4 Girls Aloud need to go. They are terrible live. Spice Girls are the best ever, followed by Destiny's Child and Sugababes, then All Saints. 1 2
TipToe Posted November 4 Posted November 4 Girls Aloud simply because i have no recollection of listening to any sing by them (am i missing much?) 1

Jooj Posted November 4 Posted November 4 2 hours ago, AxelFox said: Well going by the photos in the OP the Sugababes, cause that line up has contributed close to nothing to pop music and culture and are just riding on the nostalgia of the 2.0 lineup. Not true at all. One Touch was acclaimed, gave them a hit with Overload and if it didn't exist then they wouldn't have had the foundation to come up the legendary streak of Angels - Three - Taller. Also the Sugababes are Mutya, Keisha and whoever can keep up with them as the third girl (for the record, i love both Siobhan and Heidi to death, but that's the truth). So if we're going by that notion, 1.0 and 2.0 are equivalents 1

Britney's whole BOMT era was basically "what if Baby Spice was solo and a couple years younger and a bit edgier" (I say this is a massive Britney fan). 1
Asparagus Spears Posted November 4 Posted November 4 Those three bands wouldn't exist if it weren't for the spice girls
Shimenawa Posted November 4 Posted November 4 (edited) Girls Aloud were very local, only known in the UK so not a big loss to erase them Spice Girls are the most iconic and then Destiny's Child too Edited November 4 by Shimenawa 3 1

Girls Aloud's whacky and unconventional song structures with Xenomania are iconic and the Sugababes served pop excellence on several occasions. The Spice Girls's music ranged from mid to pretty terrible and several of the members could not sing or perform to save their lives. Great marketing, beautiful marketin The Spice girls outsold 85% of destiny child's entire album sales, with there debut alone. They Outsold destiny's child entire albums todate just of 2 studio albums. There debut single alone went to number #1 in 37 countries, destiny's child Ain't ever seen that Global domination ever. Looks like the Spice girls ain't going anywhere the others haven't even managed to match them let alone surpass them. I prefer Destiny child's music overall though, But the Spice girls literally have some of the most iconic pop songs in music. Even there Brit Awards performance is actual iconic, destiny childs don't have a performance to there name that matches There Brit awards performance. Edited November 4 by DanceAgain
Fleahive Posted November 4 Posted November 4 I'm so confused how this site can stan people with the most generic awful pop music but hate the Spice Girls? They had more flavor than all of your faves in their thumbs. They have so much personality, spunk, looks, choreo, AND VOCALS (sans Posh and Baby). Spice Girls are easily the best girl group of ALL time. No one ever did it like them. Who else can sing Saturday Night Divas? Who else can make an epic comedy movie parodying themselves? Y'all dun pissed me off.

Spice Girls never get the same credit for bubble gum pop that Britney got. Did she ever say she was influenced by them? I know my fave did.

I'm team spice girls too but NTM on Destiny's Child. Wannabe has over a billion streams on spotify but Say My Name is trailing behind at 900 million. The rest of their singles do not peak over 200 million but DC has multiple songs over 200 million. Both groups were active at the same time and had multiple reunions. No excuses!
45seconds Posted November 4 Posted November 4 It's the fact that almost every post has been down voted 6
Soda Pop Queen Posted November 4 Posted November 4 Spice Girls were significant in the British girl group paradigm but I like the least amount of music from them out of the choices. Almost every English group that came out after them had better music. If I had to rank them. 1. Destiny's Child 2. Sugababes (2000-2006) 3. Girls Aloud 4. Spice Girls 1
