Even if we held a referendum people would likely vote to keep the monarchy (given the current political situation) Also he's not an assh*le, his dad was but he has done nothing wrong.

You live in a whole different world. Spaniards are strongly republican. That's why they will never hold a referendum. 1

They were throwing mud at him directly. Stop defending this motherfucker and his rat looking wife. 1 1
Illyboy Posted November 3 Posted November 3 Also not like any of you foreigners know the situation here better than locals. Maybe clean the dirt at home before lecturing others. We have a monarchy for a reason, and like most monarchies in Europe they have social support. There were people who threw stuff at the King but also many who were willing to talk to him and the Queen and rejected the attacks. 1

I live in Spain Where are your sources that Spaniardsa re strongly republican? Latest polls show little support for anti-monarchist parties (sumar, podemos)

Just because you don't like someone doesn't give you justification to insult them. "rat looking wife" well many magazines acclaim her fashion sense so
Illyboy Posted November 3 Posted November 3 (edited) and many more clips of the Queen and King talking to people civilizedly if you look them up. There were many kinds of people there. Edited November 3 by Illyboy fixed embed

This phrase becomes hilarious when you remember the sheer ammount of scandals the Spanish, British and Liechtensteiner monarchies/principalities are involved in. "trained for life" fhdgdhh Edited November 3 by Virgos Groove

Illyboy Posted November 3 Posted November 3 Ykw I'll stop replying in this thread because there's no point in talking to a wall. Good riddance delusionals.
LewisK Posted November 3 Posted November 3 I'm Spanish as well, and I highly doubt the majority of people want the monarchy The fair thing would be to AT LEAST hold a referendum. Please explain me why that's not a even possibility, whatever the result would be. Plus, I'm not a fan of politicians at all, but if you're gonna compare, they do waaaaaaaaay more stuff than the king and queen. Most of them even had to work for a living and continue to do so. What do the king and the queen on a daily basis? How are they earning their living? And I think they're nice, I don't have anything against them as human beings. But, even if they held their own in Valencia, travelling there to give some hugs DOES nothing. Pick up a shovel and help, or let me tell you what, donate some of the millions and millions of euros you have. Prove me wrong. 5 1

Never thought I'd see people argue in favor of the Divine Right to Rule™, but here we are. Edited November 3 by Virgos Groove 3 1 4
