I remember when Andrew Tate and that brand of masculinity first started gaining traction. So many interviews from him and others in that sphere would say things like, 'I don't mind gay people, just don't make it your personality,' or, 'I wouldn't care if my son was gay as long as he was still a "real man" (masculine).' After a few more years of culture war nonsense and the resurgence of religion among younger men, they're back to being full-on homophobes, shouting slurs and wanting us to stop existing. This is why I'll always call the 'conservative gays' foolish—as soon as these people have an excuse to turn on you, they will, making you the enemy and verbally and physically abusing you.
