It feels the same as being an ex-act to me, like Ariana coming from Nickelodeon & Put Your Hearts Up to her debut . If the output is good and she keeps on delivering quality then who cares about her earlier days.

It kinda lacks legitimacy and feels a bit disingenuous. Kinda like she's riding this whole "cunty/brat" wave that Lana and Charli set up this year. But as she further develops as an artist I'm sure she will eventually find her own true sound. But that Aqua song kinda came across as gay pandering and it's really no shade

It's smart, she panders to the correct audience the right way and since the music is really good now, I'm up!

I think she's on the right path but she does need some more time to really figure out her OWN identity rather than paying homage to artists and movements of the past (Lana, ROL Madonna, Britney etc)

I noticed her potential 2 years ago but I was worried that she was going to disappear back then so I'm glad to see everyone loves her now.

First of all, this is definitely not the greatest rebranding of all time. She is just 24, 20s are for finding your identity. What Charli released around her age is also not the same stuff you associate with Charli brand now

The music is good, but she still gives off a vibe of being a pop star from a movie, like in Trap.

I'm really rooting for her!

I want Diet Pepsi to smash in the same way Greedy and Espresso did.

People in here are so stupid it hurts. Imagine if someone made a thread like this about Sabrina Carpenter BEFORE she released Espresso. Everyone was calling her irrelevant, a nobody, a failure a desperate Ariana wannabe and now people on here are posting her stats about how  shes setting records. :ace:  ATRL does this with every pop girl until they get a #1. Pathetic. :dies: Addison is doing what most pop artists do, change up their image and style until something sticks. Theres nothing wrong with that.

Pretty much this. It's also not easy for a rebrand to work so successfully when her literal debut flopped to oblivion and was mocked by pretty much everyone. She has it in her to make it big imho, it's just a matter of when.

she's on the right track to either have a breakthrough moment or cultivate a loyal niche fanbase ala Charli/Carly who will always check for her.

Why does everyone call growing up a "rebrand"? It's not a huge shift at all, in fact it's incredibly natural. She was a teenager doing dances on tiktok that people hated her over for no reason, and eventually used her platform to branch out to movies and music. Was she supposed to sit on tiktok forever? The app evolved, and she did too, it's no longer the dancing app it was considered in 2019-2021. That said, getting to know her artistry has been really fun to watch. She has always seemed like a sweet, funny person, and this field feels natural for her. While her earlier songs didn't do much for me, Diet Pepsi and Aquamarine have both been incredible.

Wishing her success in her career path, I'll definitely be tuning in.
