isnt she living in the buttfuck of louisiana with her right wing crocodile tamer hubby? and beefing with his family/ex-fiancé? i don't see how this album isn't a perfect explanation of her life right now.

Idc I wanted the country album bad… if the stans hate it then whatever she's so prolific she'll have another album out by the end of next year

Hopefully she didn't scrap much of it

COTCC is one of my favorite albums from her

Recently, when she listens to singles like Ride and Video Games, tracks that gave her fans enough to build entire personalities around, she feels a certain disconnect. "I'm entering a new era. It happened also with Chemtrails over the country club and Blue Banisters, I made these albums by myself. It has a lot to do with living in Oklahoma and feeling different. My eyes have seen so many open spaces, I've felt the wind, and that's the kind of energy I want to talk about now."

Southern Gothic would fit her way more. The new album Wonderland by Holly Macve who she collaborated with recently could be seen as a reference point, it's Lana-ish but with some old country-isms.

I never knew! lol

And I thought ATRL would keep me updated.

She does this with every new album, who's even surprised.

Anyways. I've always thought dream-pop has a country flair so it'd be a great opportunity for her to switch to that sound, or are you scared of more Hope Sandoval copycat accusations, Ms. Dufrene?

Not that I wouldn't have loved a country album from her, but "Southern Gothic" just fits her so well that I'm even more excited :jonnyknife:

She saw Cowboy Carter bombing and ran.

It's not a country album.

It's a LANA DEL RAY album

When another artist randomly announces they're dropping a Southern Gothic album before hers and she gives up and pivots back to her unlimited stash of Arcadia'd piano ballads then what
