I might turn it into something more in the "Southern Gothic" style, as it should have been at the beginning, and less country."

THANK YOU :WAP:

That's a shame. Her country/folk-coded efforts have always been my favorites. I wish we could get an album that sounds like an expansion of the 'Chemtrails' sound, and Tough was a very promising lead. But oh well, I'm sure the new direction she's choosing will be amazing too!

I think she said in the fashion awards dinner last week that she's keeping the country songs she did complete but it's not going to be an overall country record.

Just imagine the Neil Krug photoshoot set in the Southern Gothic region where she lives now...whew

I have some thots bout this, but rn am at the gym, workin out for the menz.

So, probably later on in the base

Southern Gothic would fit her way more. The new album Wonderland by Holly Macve who she collaborated with recently could be seen as a reference point, it's Lana-ish but with some old country-isms.

I wish she would release something similar to Disease soundwise.

I think she is just changing the singing/production or some lyrics here and there. Doubt she is scrapping the songs fully. Cause she said she loves the songs in that interview the other day.

I knew when she said an album was coming in September that it wouldn't come then, & I knew when she said "everyone's doing country now" that it meant she wasn't doing a country album anymore lol

It's all for the best. Idk what southern gothic means, but if it is UV coded I'll take it! Hopefully not Ethel Cain's sound, even though she's Lana's child

Was I the only one excited for a "country" record from Lanz? Like no I don't want any Morgan Wallen type ****, but imagine her making music in the vein of Ethel Cain southern gothic, Waylon Jennings, Tammy Wynette. She'd kill an old fashioned classic country record with gut wrenchingly heartbreaking songs. :jonnyknife:
