Now that this is finally becoming a reality, we're quick to accuse straight, straight-presenting, or questioning men and women who experiment with fashion or explore romantic or sexual same-sex relations as opportunists or queer-baiters. Of course, there's a separate conversation to be had about people who intentionally exploit queer identity to sell a brand, but if a straight or curious guy wants to connect with his feminine side or kiss another guy, who cares?

In all seriousness since I l know some of y'all didn't watch the video the tone in which he's saying that gives off more the speculation made him re-think his sexuality more than anything else and not just queerness but also also just lamenting about not being able to be a normal teenager where would be allowed to think about with it being everybody's business.

He literally says that he's figuring out things with life and sexuality. There are more sexualities than just gay and straight.

The basis of it is that he is not straight. We know why he addressed it and the decade of rumors that followed it (context). He wouldn't have addressed in such a way if he wasn't acknowledging the rumors (clues). 

 

You're right though. Celebs  nowadays have to say they're pan or don't label their sexuality to appeal to everyone in order not to be stigmatized because being just gay is still taboo, and that is exactly what he is doing. We won't know what he likes until he dates (or marries) long term.
