If he is indeed not straight it's got to be incredibly hard for him because for a whole decade his income and the whole set-up of his life has depended on his image as a heartthrob to young women who buy his records and concert tickets. That's why it took Ricky Martin until he was like 40 to come out. He's had so much pressure for so long to only show himself with women and deny anything gay-related.

Even if he is non-straight, the timing is a little sus cause his new music is making zero noise. I'm not saying that there's a "right" moment for anyone to come out (or that "coming out" in general should even be a thing, but that's another story) but he knows damn well this clip will be shared across every corner of stan world so..  We've seen all types of shenanigans happen for an engagement boost.

I've watched parts of his interview with Jay Shetty and he talks a lot about accepting himself gor who he is, but avoided specifics.

I get the feeling like he has never understood himself at any level whatsoever, like he is a mystery to himself, not because he's so complicated, but due to some type of disorder or impairment.  I feel bad for him.

If he is gay or bisexual, it must be incredibly hard to repress it (as many of us do) while never really being able to "explore" or understand it because he's constantly fending off trolls. I'm not trying to be a "pick me," but I find it pretty upsetting that people nitpick everything he does and label him as gay because of it. I relate to that experience too from when I was in the closet—from the way you walk and talk to even the way you move your hands, you become almost deranged and start monitoring every little thing just fit in-it would be even worse for me when I saw straight boys act flamboyantly and it just being a "joke" with them when "sus" kids like me couldn't afford to do that. I don't understand why other gay men, who have most likely gone through this phase, keep picking at him. Even if he is gay, he clearly hasn't fully figured it out or come to terms with it. We should have more empathy.
