NoOneDiesFromLove Posted October 27 Posted October 27 I woke up this morning, Training Season was stuck in my head for some reason. Decided to give the album a play for the first time in some months and I had a religious experience to it… End Of An Era to Whatcha Doing, a perfect five track run. A perfect closer with Happy for You… What do you think? Did talent win or lose? Did it deserve better? 1

Reginald Posted October 27 Posted October 27 These Walls would be an Adult Contemporary SMASH But it will remain an arts smash, instead 1
LoStIntH3WoRld Posted October 27 Posted October 27 it was for the streets she didn't cared about the charts and critics 1
Iceland Posted October 27 Posted October 27 It was a side project / companion album for her upcoming tour the FN successor is coming next year 1
Escape Posted October 27 Posted October 27 No and we need to stop pushing it as such. We all know y'all only do that because it's by Dua Lipa.
tost1 Posted October 27 Posted October 27 It's for bad ******* and rexhars, pervert can't understand it
pavi Posted October 27 Posted October 27 (edited) No, actually, it's so 'made for the charts' it lacks personality and is bland in comparison to FN. FN was for the charts, too, but it was for the art first. It was a concept, it had a vision. The success was a result of the art. RO was just made to chart but it doesn't as a result (although some songs deserved success and Happy For You is a career highlight) Edited October 27 by pavi
BrokenMachine Posted October 27 Posted October 27 Nah, it was at some middle point, that's why it received mixed reviews and I agree with them. The songs are good, enjoyable, but they aren't smashes nor masterpieces
katara Posted October 27 Posted October 27 Honestly even if the whole album is quite lackluster, GODini and Traning Smash were worth it 1
shoganai Posted October 27 Posted October 27 It's the opposite it was made for the chart only, the bubbling under one.
DoubleRainbow! Posted October 27 Posted October 27 Houdini is one of the best pop songs in recent years these walls, happy for you and end of an era are some of her best tracks ever 1
