Why after 17 years of career, some people think that Gaga cares about numbers ?

She is a millionnaire, she proved that she is super talented, sold millions of albums and songs, had 14 Top 5 songs on the Hot100, 6 #1 albums, an Oscar, many successful movies and 13 Grammys. But somewhat some people talk like she cares about numbers ? Why ?

Why is it always the girlies that are flopping the ones that never care?

She bundled her last album with jockstraps.

99 cent album

Rushed throwaway single around super bowl performance

Trying to cash in on the super hero movie craze (too late)

Collabs with artists with much better streaming stats

Tour bundle for last album along with jockstrap bundle and Oreo Collab

Big pharma Sell out

Yeah I'm sure she doesn't care

I mean her fans care about numbers, especially of those who have been in the industry for 25+ years and have a decade of seniority on her. Except those artists don't tank by their third album. It will be interesting to see Gaga's numbers by that point because she certainly won't be getting solo #1s or 400k, let alone 150k debuts. :suburban:

Because it's her job.

why do her fans care about numbers is the better question. If the music is good then that should be enough

LMs laughed, humiliated and made fun of Katy for past 4 months and now when GaGa miserably flopping the clown is really comes back to bite :gaycat6:

If she didn't care she would have kept her artistic integrity instead of making projects she thought would bring her acclaim and commercial success.

Joanne was the first example of that after she realised everyone was over her eccentric shtick.

Numbers can't break her career but if this is a big flop I imagine she will retreat to movies and jazz/AC ballads for a long, long time. And yes she can get roles after Joker flopped.

She's gone quiet because she's still embarrassed of JFAD's tankery, so she still cares about numbers

Not the liddos already using the "shes a millionaire, shes set for life with 5 #1s" argument. It's giving katycats in the 143 HDD thread

she wouldn't have enlisted an all star team if she didn't care about commercial success :deadbanana4:

Replace "numbers" with "music career" and I'd agree with you.  The way she paid more attention to Happy Mistake than Disease, I can't :biblio:

Everyone cares about numbers.

im sure she wants SOMETHING to be successful this era besides DWAS, let's be reasonable

Gaga has too much of a type A personality to not care (which is not a bad thing, I admire her drive....wish some of my faves had that kind of hunger so our stanbase could be fed more often lol)

Because that's what she does for living ?

if there is a hit there is money, that could help album promotion and possibly WW tour and numbers are part of it.

Everyone care. Albums are expensive to make and artists have expensive lifestyles and flopping would bring them less money to fund their expensive lifestyle :gaycat4:
When she flopped with artpop she was really affected by it. She showed her anger so many times on twitter
So monsters better support this single :gaycat2: cause we dont want our fave to be sad
Once she has a baby i think her life priorities will change. Havin kids is the best thing for artists.

Her fans do, hence the draggings when the numbers aren't there.

Clearly you're trying to get her dragged right?

Because she obviously does

There could be 100 million people in a room and 99,999,999 of them don't stream your new single but all you need is one.
