Have the past 30 days been the worst stretch of Lady Gaga's career to date?

Since September 27, there has been…

'Harlequin', aka LG6.5, failing to chart any song on Spotify WW, debuting at only #20 on the BB200 and dropping out of the chart after just one week.

Then there was Joker: Folie À Deux, which became the most panned comic book movie of all times and one of the most biggest & most expensive box office bombs in the history of Hollywood.

And lastly there is "Disease", Gaga's lead single of LG7 and the ultimate display of her solo, non-side-project'd commercial power.

But despite a somewhat decent debut, it's already free-falling on Spotify all over the world and is doing worse than "Stupid Love", which itself was seen as a underperformance at the time.

Have the past 30 days been the worst stretch of Lady Gaga's career to date?

Can things only go up from now on? Or is the worst still yet to come?

Conveniently missing out the amazing critical reception Disease got and the insane smash hit that's number 2 on the charts and her biggest song since Shallow

She survived artpop in which she collaborated with the worst people of that time, she'll be okay

It's worse than anyone could have imagined. She keeps redefining what it means to flop. Who else but Mother Monster :jonnykin:

ARTPOP was worse but this is definitely a shaky time for GaGa. Things are not going to plan.

Yet another OGH circlejerk, not like we have at least 20 of those every day at this point, oh ATRL, you're so predictable :clap3:

I fear it's not looking good for Mother Monster. Still, I have faith that she'll rebound! Little Monsters, put your paws up and keep the faith!

No, we were truly in the trenches during ARTPOP and Perfect Illusion

This time she has critical acclaim + DWAS smashing as leverage

You were not old enough in the Artpop era right? Cause this is nothing compared to the things we faced back then :gaycat4:

I guess they haven't learnt from Dua's mistake. I'm not sure why you'd release a bunch of music back to back in one go. A lead single is supposed to be spaced so there's a LOT of time since we've heard music from the artist. It's all about hype. When you force a single, two music projects and then a lead single down consumers throats it's obviously not going to end well. Moreover, that Harlequin project should've never been released. Why be a sell out for a movie that didn't even perform well?

I mean, no? DWAS is still totally smashing and her lead single might not be off to a #1 start, but it's still well-reviewed and the fans love it. Her career isn't as one-dimensional as the cherry-picked challenges here might imply.

I just know she and her team were caught off guard and expected JFAD to carry her into a new era only for it to tank everything along with it. When you take Bruno out of the picture, it's absolutely a catastrophic launch of a new era.. :deadbanana4:

The album was released before the movie

Nope, ARTPOP era was at least 10 times worse: y'all really weren't there to experience its catastrophic backlash, since the entire world was dragging her left and right everyday for at least 3-4 months

The album is tied to the movie. My point still stands.
