2024 to liddos: keep expectations low so you won't be disappointed

Literally most liddos were expecting 4-4.5M

Is that on par with DWAS? That's not bad. US numbers are terrible however. These numbers are expected because they match its performance on Apple Music tbh.

She should be doing 5M-6M though. Sure, Stupid Love was riding the ASIB hype but it also leaked 6 weeks early and Spotify users have grown a lot since 2020. I'm not sure if Harlequin actually killed some of the hype or something.

Release Notorious Being for that 20M debut :gaycat1:

Now if she debuted with like 49% of DWAS numbers then it wouldve been an unarguably #ThankYouBruno situation

by ~100k. the one that bruno brought to the debut numbers since stupid love also did over 4M

:ryan3:

But what happened to all those monthly Spotify listeners?

mind you beyoncé's last lead single debuted with LESS than disease even though she got superbowl promo

THE was a SURPRISE RELEASE on midnight Sunday / Monday and it boasted excellent AM numbers (#2 on the charts) while Disease still can't reach top 50

Even Jolene - Beyonce's album track debuted with more streams than Disease lmao

It's not bad if the Liddos didn't paint Gaga as big of an artist on the same level as Taylor, Ariana, Rihanna, Beyonce etc.

i feel like she is as big culturally. debut numbers are useless as they only show you how big the diehard fans are

Ga Ga sold her album for 99 cents and bundled it with jockstraps :rip:

Just because that didn't stop her from tanking doesn't mean it didn't come from a place of chart greediness

Yeah but she's like 1% Chart Greedy compared to Taylor's 99% Chart Greedy

I really honestly think that overexposure might have something to do with it. Not overexposure from Gaga´s side, but moreso from the pop landscape as a whole. There have been SO many good releases this year, and we have Bruno, Sabrina, Chappell, Charli and now the BP Solo´s all hogging up the airwaves. It´s a much more competitive field than February 2020 when she only had Blinding Lights and DSN to compete with.

Even worse is this not even having 2M views on YT so far either :deadbanana: I'd really love to know what the thought process is of not releasing the MV, or at least announcing when you're releasing it.
With Christmas songs coming up sooner rather than later, an artist of her caliber is far better off focusing on a big debut now

I mean it's not an ideal "GAG, A SMASHA!!" scenario but painting this as a giant flop is straight up delusional imo. its a bit underwhelming, but I hope she has promo line up or maybe like... a tweet even lmao. the music video needs to come very soon though.

also, this might be the little medonster in my talking but this era already feels more like fan service than anything.

Bigger than SL numbers wise but worse chart performance wise considering Spotify's growth

Now let's aim for better stability

1. On a Sunday night/Monday and then proceeded to grow over the next few days (let's hope for y'alls sake that Disease can do the same)

2. So you admit, Beyoncé is the bar? Interesting because Gaga fans have been trying to insist that the opposite is true

The Beyonce SNEAK when CC BOMBED harder than Artpop chartwise and No.1 song Texas Hold Em is already at Telephone daily Spotify Streams level..

But gotta give to Beyonce for having a loyal fanbase and great Media Propaganda Machine :clap3:

You needing to dig back to 2011 to find an album to compare a 2024 album's numbers to is a drag in and of itself.
