For Gaga, the 2nd single always seems to outdo the first one. Million Reasons after Perfect Illusion, Rain On Me after Stupid Love. So maybe you're right. Maybe we should just wait until the next song.

First of all, it did 1.2M, but get that extra +100k streams, I guess. Second of all, Disease is likely pulling over 3 million again, so I'm not sure how you got to "not that far from Disease"

There is an audience however small for any song releases by a major label artist so that explanation is laughable at best.

Anyway as I said she can decide to push this song and release the video for this audience, however small ( like some girls do by sticking by their leads even if they're flops) or just move on to another "lead" single or quickly put the 2nd single out.

The second single needs to have a much stronger hook. Disease relies much more on its atmosphere and on her vocals than on having a song thats instantly an earwurm and very addictive.
