Yes sis, but it went on and on. It should have started and ended with Cheek to Cheek. Not a jazz tour, a jazz residency, another jazz album, and now Harlequin which is also a cover album of showtunes. And prime TV performances like the Olympics and the Oscars dedicated to covering other people's songs...

 

Crazy for someone in their 30s! This is the time when an artist knows the ropes, has an established name, and can now be in their creative prime. Imagine MJ releasing swing albums after Bad and Dangerous LMFAO.

Gaga is clearly going to have a Cher-like trajectory for the rest of her career, a permanent A list star across movies and music whose success may vary but she will always stay here and be around in one form or another. Maybe she will take a break from acting after JFAD, but then come back in 5 years with another acclaimed performance. LG7 might only go Gold instead of Platinum, but then she gets another soundtrack hit or another hit duet or a solo dance hit or whatever. She will stay on award shows, magazine covers, etc. So in the grand scheme of her career this flopping won't be that important. If Miley can come back with a smash after years of peaking at #18 on pop radio, so can Gaga.

These updates... The way she's probably never gonna make pop again (at least for a looong time) after two tanked "pop comebacks" in a row.

It's quite pathetic, because she could easily have a Jessie Ware - What's Your Pleasure moment (that sound would fit her theatrical voice much better), instead of soulessly chasing old trends and doing them zero justice.

Seriously though, the song wouldn't be underperforming if it wasn't absolutely awful. I even left it on overnight on accident release day and streamed it 65 times and it still flopped first day.

This is what I don't get... I've been attacked on here for supporting gaga and I don't even bring other peoples favs down. 

 but I can also see the humor in it all and some of it is funny, I try not to take it all seriously. 

 

Some people on here need to touch grass tbh. These women are multi millionaires, people need to stop living through them.

Gaga is going to remain a powerhouse entertainer for the rest of her career… she's made too much of an impact on the culture to be written off by an underperforming single, or even an album.

 

Sure, I hope things turn around for Disease and the song finds an audience but that's probably not going to happen and that's fine.
