Sorry but that's not an excuse. Even up to and including December last year there were several NON-Christmas songs in the top 10 (Lovin On Me, Cruel Summer, Snooze, Paint The Town Red). If a song is good enough it won't have a problem competing with Xmas songs.

I love disease but I can't imagine a song called "disease" in the TOP 10 at Christmas

That's too bad, I actually like this song, it's one of the very few Gaga's songs that I have liked since BTW. I think since her original team left, she has a hard time recapturing what made her early songs great. Although we do not get the pristine finish of a Paparazzi, at least she is mimicking her past self to some extent, the lyrics could have been improved, the production is a bit lacking and it could have used a better bridge but I don't get how people enjoy Stupid Love more than this. Actually SL and Chromatica were probably a bit damaging to her appeal.

I don't remember who made it, but even as someone who's fond of Gaga I can't help but commend the effort put into it.
