So you're telling me that releasing on a Friday is a better promo vehicle to release a new song than during a prime time sporting event watched by 123.7 MILLION people in the US? Make it make sense.

I kinda feel like these are decent opening numbers? There's not been much fanfare or promotion for the song (no TikTok snippet marketing before, for example), and she also didn't have the hype of a big return given that she just released DWAS and Harlequin. 
 

That said, I'm not saying it's necessarily going to end up smashing either. But anyone who is acting like this is shocking flop isn't being serious

Beyonce and Gaga's songs did about the same. Both have not had videos. Beyoncé's was released on a Sunday but had the Super Bowl while Gaga's was released on a Friday but did not have the Super Bowl. 
 

If anything, this proves that Gaga and Bey stans should support each other.

The clowns are all over this thread, my lord. This debut is not fantastic, but it's definitely not terrible or bad in any way and anyone who has a little bit of knowledge of numbers can guarantee you that she is doing good with this debut. Not fantastic, but still great nonetheless. She could've debuted at like #110 and doing 1.5m streams and then I would get the slandering, but you cannot come for these numbers if you have some sense left in you.
