And that's ok, I love both 2 3 1
Spicy Pisces Posted November 3 Posted November 3 Is cute, I like it. I might need The Subway first though
Young In Love Posted November 3 Posted November 3 oh she really meant that she doesn't want to be famous 1
DevilsRollTheDice Posted November 3 Posted November 3 Whoever said jumping from The Fame to Joanne It's okay. I think Subway is worse than the other singles she's released but better than this. Will be interesting to see how it performs in the US. It doesn't sound like a hit IMO and will be DOA abroad. I commend her for making the music she wants to make instead of rehashing the sound that made her famous, I just wish I liked the song more. 1

Ok maybe the carbon copy was a bit harsh (and was certainly not intended as a drag lmao), but yeah you can practically sing both songs in the same breath. I often find myself accidentally singing the chorus of RUTH after a GLB verse and a quick google search also shows that many made the same connection, with mashups etc… so I'll take Cynthias word for it Edited November 3 by Liafen 1
brokee Posted November 3 Posted November 3 I hope she gear up next album era early next year as possible. I mean I don't mind even the end of this year cause I'll always love me some Chappell but with season coming up I don't Know how it will play out.
josesuxx Posted November 3 Posted November 3 This is fun but that's it I need her to drop The Subway as a Side B 1
NumbSoul Posted November 3 Posted November 3 I actually really like this Very cute, fun, and catchy! And different for her too! 1
georgechxng Posted November 3 Posted November 3 this is so cunty. serving shania levels of greateness! 3
Bosque Posted November 3 Posted November 3 Cute but not on the same level as most of her first album or GLB.
Theluckyone Posted November 3 Posted November 3 Hmm this is not it. Good luck babe is so much better.
goldstargay Posted November 3 Posted November 3 She's at a point in her career where literally whatever she releases is gonna be successful -- this is cute but I am curious to hear the studio version.
Jenni Posted November 3 Posted November 3 I like the lyrics but this kind of country is really not for me. I think it may become a moderate hit, but it's not gonna smash like glb.

Kristie Kuwa Posted November 3 Posted November 3 Oh this is gonna be a radio #1 for weeks, isn't it? 2
Just a Gay on ATRL Posted November 3 Posted November 3 US will probably eat this up especially with the country boom right now. However, not the direction I wanted her to go in. It's giving her label saw how well country is doing rn and went "Chappell, sister, put on your pink pony pumps and get your yeehaw on"
