Popular Post wastedpotential Posted October 24 Popular Post Posted October 24 The way Katy is so used to getting whacked and selling out people in her circle for a quick buck she's forgotten the concept of having friends in the industry 30 8
Sheep Posted October 24 Posted October 24 (edited) The most vile of the Monsters and Swifties are going to read this and pat themselves on the back for traumatizing Katy enough to seek out guidance from Stevie Nicks but are also probably the same users acting like the epitome of morality in the Liam thread. Worms. We need to do better. edit: girlies I said the most vile of, not every single one. I'm a monster myself Edited October 24 by Sheep 19 1 4 28
Rev8 Posted October 24 Posted October 24 I wonder when the conversation took place Katy probably felt so silly after Stevie's comment 1
Popular Post Marla Singer Posted October 24 Popular Post Posted October 24 Quote Back then, Perry was telling the Fleetwood Mac singer "about the internet armies of all the girl singers, and how cruel and rancid they were," Nicks told Rolling Stone At the time, she continued her retelling of the incident, saying that she said "'I'm Stevie Nicks, I do what I do and I'm great at it. We don't have rivals. That's just ridiculous.' And she said, "Well, there's, like, the Taylor Swift army and there's, like, the Katy army and there's like—" before Nicks said "you have to just walk away from that. Don't carry that around in your mind because then they're winning this game." Ok but she kind of dragged us too. 26

Worms. We need to do better. "traumatizing Katy" Some of you need to learn the difference between somebody getting rightfully criticized and whacked for willingly working with an abuser and....cyber bullying an artist for something so silly. Like, I could agree with you that the Witness hate train was....too much although she said stupid **** back then as well, but she was getting clowned for every single thing she did which was obviously not okay. This time however? She had it coming irdgaf. And I'm not cosigning death threats or any sexist jokes about her/her body. Edited October 24 by State of Grace. 31 3 2

The article says this was a decade ago. Unless there's some bombshell scandal I missed from her back during the Prism era you just wanted to feel good about hating her. Katy has drawn plenty of rightful criticism but yes there's a point where even that crosses into harassment(death threats, celebrating anytime something bad happens to her, etc). Popular Post Velvet Night Posted October 24 Popular Post Posted October 24 This explains a lot about Katy Perry. It's sad that the advice given 10 years ago was ignored though. 27

I agree that the hate train was over the top back then, but I don't feel bad for her in 2024. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. 1

Timeless Posted October 24 Posted October 24 It's extremely depressing and exhausting seeing Katy Perry as the punching bag for the past 7 years. I truly do feel bad for her. 3 4 2 4

She definitely lost a lot of my sympathy in 2024 once she started downplaying he who shall not be named's contributions and lying about a contract that was already confirmed to not exist, but if you think the hate for her online has become anything other than unwell people using her as an outlet for all their own negativity then you need to reread some threads from this summer now that the dust is settled. The things people were getting away with saying about her are actually nuts, if anybody said those things about a non-hate trained artist or even another ATRL user, instant permaban. Working with a r*pist doesn't mean you deserve to die, which again is what some people really have said about her. Edited October 24 by Sheep 9

Omg I'll never understand this constant obsession of spreading lies and crafting non-existent dramas over Katy's name, it's ridiculous. 2 5
Popular Post Bimbo Posted October 24 Popular Post Posted October 24 Poor girl was obsessed with competing against other pop girls and ended up as the biggest loser 31
XtinaStripped Posted October 24 Posted October 24 Should've listened. I kinda feel sorry for her in a way. She's been in the industry so long and learned so little. She thought this was her big comeback, but her choices hammered the last nail in her mainstream pop career's coffin. 3

Only her fans said that to make up an excuse as to why she's working with him. 1 1

Either way her handling of the criticism was very poor imo. Obviously I wouldn't start saying disturbed things about her over it though. 1
Bubble Tea Posted October 24 Posted October 24 The only people really dragged here is the online stan losers who pit women against each other to the extent it impacts their worldview. 7
ChooseyLover Posted October 24 Posted October 24 For some context, she said this encounter happened around 10 years ago and I can definitely see Katy saying these things in 2013-2014. 3
