imabadkid Posted October 22 Posted October 22 I know it's cliche but damn time flies. It feels like it was just 2014 and I was on Tumblr (remember ha? is she even still alive?) like just yesterday but it's been a whole decade. 2

XxxKatyCatxxX Posted October 22 Posted October 22 Anything after 2010 just doesn't feel like 10 years for me. 3
Burn Posted October 22 Posted October 22 All I remember about 2014 is that it was the year Mariah dropped the masterpiece MIAMTEC. 1 1 1
dumbsparce Posted October 23 Posted October 23 Who doesn't remember where they were when the Artpop era was allegedly "relaunched" on that faithful evening in March? 2
Shinkirou Posted October 23 Posted October 23 I remember that year because the usual suspects wear either in between eras or flopping so a new batch of popstars came along. Sia, Iggy, Sam Smith, Meghan Trainor, Charli XCX and I'd count Ariana and Ed Sheeran too. Almost no one kept their relevancy tho. 1 1
Pop Life Posted October 23 Posted October 23 (edited) 2014 was a weird transitional year. Very bland. All the pop girls were either flopping or winding down their current eras and people were sick of EDM but weren't completely obsessed yet with trap/SoundCloud rap. Aesthetically speaking, things like skinny jeans, undercuts and Tumblr looks were still kind of in fashion, but hipsters as a mainstream force were declining fast. Meanwhile the core looks and vibes of the mid-10s hadn't really kicked in yet. Forgotten year, culturally. Edited October 23 by Pop Life 6

Attitude Posted October 23 Posted October 23 I still feel like I'm in my early 20s, but I'm reaching 30.
Gorjesspazze9 Posted October 23 Posted October 23 (edited) I was in college, Ariana's My Everything Album was my anthem, Instagram was like just starting to get popular (well to me and my friend group anyways), life seem so much less chaotic I do agree tho pop culture was kinda a flop compared to 2015 and definitely a flop compared to 2016 Edited October 23 by Gorjesspazze9 1

Onyxmage Posted October 23 Posted October 23 It feels like time has gone by SO slow. It should be 2034 already.
