Slap Posted October 22 Posted October 22 (edited) In 2002, trademark law icon and music Legend Kylie Minogue released one of her best Grammy Nominated (tm) songs "Love At First Sight" at age 33. The song went Top 10 across most of the world and also got into the top 25 of the Hot 100, doing better than Padam Padam. The music video features an ageless Kylie in a single take motion futuristic sequence looking absolutely snatched. Unlike many pop stars in the Y2K era her looks and makeup at the time actually aged well. What do you think of this bop? What was your fave doing at age 33 and what's their excuse for it not being as good as this? Edited October 22 by Slap 10 3
Sailor Moon Posted October 22 Posted October 22 her best song, pop perfection i'm playing it daily 2 1
Harrier Posted October 22 Posted October 22 My faves were certainly not releasing the best pure pop song of the decade like legend Kylie did, no 1
Peroxide Posted October 22 Posted October 22 To this day, Love at First Sight remains her best song. It's pure pop bliss. I'm also pretty sure it's her favourite song she's released…? Can someone confirm? 1 1

Also the way Chasing The Sun was foreshadowing what was to come. 30 minutes ago, Sailor Moon said: her best song, pop perfection i'm playing it daily Truly one of the best pop songs. 11 minutes ago, Peroxide said: To this day, Love at First Sight remains her best song. It's my fave song of hers yet she has so many I keep forgetting about it, she almost always includes it in every tour. 1

TheBoss Posted October 22 Posted October 22 This would be her best song if Come Into My World didn't existed

I think she explicitly once said that Slow is her favorite song from her catalogue but she VERY often mentions LAFS when talking about favourites of hers. 1
Oktober Knight Posted October 22 Posted October 22 Madonna was on the Blond Ambition Tour and released the best selling female GH album of all time. 2
Charmed Life Posted October 22 Posted October 22 She had just finished the Blond Ambition tour, released Justify My Love and The Immaculate Collection. (which turned out to be the biggest selling compilation by a female artist). The following year (at 33) she recorded the #1 single "This Used to be my Playground" for the #1 box office hit, "A League of their Own". 3
JoeAg Posted October 22 Posted October 22 (edited) the way you could make a case for this song or either of the following two songs on that album being the greatest pop song of all time legend sh*t ONLY Edited October 22 by JoeAg 1
JoeAg Posted October 22 Posted October 22 oh but to answer the thread question… Kate had already released The Sensual World and a box set that followed it by her 33rd bday, and she was working on The Red Shoes, which is arguably her most misunderstood album. she also released this cover of Elton John's Rocket Man to tide over her fans between eras when she was 33 (and also for an Elton tribute album I guess)
Phaunzie Posted October 22 Posted October 22 Serving nothing but excellence. Look at the performance, it is one of a kind. The tour was so futuristic and experimental, the power it had and the demand. A music video is nice but this is excellent.
SoldierofLove Posted October 22 Posted October 22 She was on a well deserved break after giving us four massive eras in a row: D'eux, Falling Into You, Let's Talk About Love, These Are Special Times
Vixen Eyes Posted October 22 Posted October 22 Kesha was 33 in 2020. She really wasn't doing much tbh. She released her album High Road that January 31. Had planned and later cancelled her High Road Tour due to Covid. She did release this banger though
