Lady Gaga - "Disease"

Didnt you and other liddos do the same with Woman's World?

Katy deserved all the lashings because she released a tedious song produced by a rapist, while Gaga is miles ahead artistically and she's not going back to the rapist in a desperate attempt to get a hit. She's putting out something fresh, acclaimed and exciting and I know it hurts you to see how much more quality is there compared to your washed up fave. How's the album and her collab with the very famous sample is doing btw?

I finally had the time to listen to the song on the train back home... this is SO GOOD DAAAAAMN :WAP:

Makes me super excited for the album, she really understood the assignment. This is eons better than anything she released after Born This Way (Venus excluded). Absolutely love it.

It's growing on me but why is it flopping? It's the lead single…

Report the trolls and move on :sistrens:

They are more excited for the numbers than we are

Madonna has not been a legacy act since 2005, Hard Candy was a major MPG album and MDNA moreso with superbowl and pushing Gimmie all your luvin

even 2015 Madonna promoted rebel heart like crazy

You're right about Hard Candy, 4 Minutes was massive. I'm not coming for Madonna, she's the queen of pop but she was definitely a legacy act by MDNA (and that's ok!).

Headlining the Super Bowl and/or promoting an album like crazy doesn't mean you're not a legacy act. By 2012, people were going to Madonna's concerts to hear the old material rather than the tours namesake and that's ok.

To put things into perspective… when Beyonce was 16 years into her career she released "self titled".  Madonna 16 years into her career gave us "ray of light"

gaga is 16 years into her career and isn't making the impact or "art" I  think we expected. I'm underwhelmed . I guess I just expected more

Too many years of doing side projects such as movies, jazz, random covers and HAC ballads resulted in her core fanbase slowly diminishing.

By trying to become the jack of all trades, she became the master of none.

The general public doesn't even know the song exists. Just wait for the Spotify and Apple Music numbers. Without a major collab or payola, Gaga really isn't able to deliver a "smash"

…How does this respond to anything I said in my post though?

I don't think the song will be a smash, but I don't think it means she should just not release music anymore.

Lack of "with Bruno Mars" in the title

HOUDINI peaked outside 100 on US AM, I don't think a Dua stan should come for anyone in terms of AM numbers:rip:

Comparing Madonna and Gaga is hilarious. Madonna made "ray of light" 16 years into her career and released "music" in her 40s. She was still reinventing herself and a major force. Gaga isn't giving that AT ALL

damn why is it always the stans of washed up hasbeens... and no I'm not talking abotu Dua Lipa.

Your fav was already on her way OUT when Gaga debuted, it's not Gaga's fault her career is over and she is a talentless JOKE. When will y'all get over the fact that Gaga's peak happeend at the same time as y'all favs last hurrah? And when will y'all understand that it wasn't Gaga's fault and your favs were still gonna be OUT in a few years anyway..!?

Gaga's team wasn't expecting this rollout. Joker 2 was supposed to be at about 600 million grossing by now, the Bruno mars collab smashing, and critics praising her performance in the film. Unfortunately the film flopped and set her back… way back. Here are my predictions

album- 170k first week and eventually gold (with a lot of payola and strings pulled). Sorry Gaga. just think it's best to be a legacy act at this point.

But when the material isn't well received, innovative, fresh, or fun… maybe so?

As a legacy act she sure can!

Makes sense. Gaga is still a talent but I feel she's lost her passion for pop and dance music. Her efforts  feel lost. Where she used to create the trends,  it seems she's trying desperately to find her place.

It's just my opinion. The song will underperform. The second single will be a collab with popular artist (to give her a boost as her solo efforts fail) and the album will … well you'll see. Being delusional doesn't change what's inevitable.

Here is the attention you want. Now GTFO

I'm not comparing Gaga and Madonna. Reading comprehension skills?

I'm saying that just because you reach "legacy act" status doesn't mean you have to stop producing music. Madonna still does, Mariah does, Katy does, Britney did etc etc.

This is all a moot point anyways considering Gaga is currently sitting in the Top 5 of Billboard as I type this.

Thanks to Bruno and payola lol.

If her solo song doesn't mirror this success then it's obvious why the song is "smashing" . Bruno also has another "hit" collab out as well but Gaga isn't doing well on her own. He carried that song.

I actually think they are hoping DWAS will hit #1 next week because the vinyl has shipped and everyone will receive it this upcoming week. I think video is gonna come on Fri. Nov 1 at this point, to not interfere with DWAS.

Then why they released this song now and ruined it for fans if they werent going to do anything for this one?

I cant even tell or explain how disappointed i am about this rollout. Absolutely crickets 🦗

Releasing music video or anything wont have any effect after first week, this is not 2011. We're entering never ending religious holiday starting from november first.

Thank you godga yet another lead single ruined.
