Lyrical. Posted October 25 Posted October 25 This is just okay… like others have said, it's underwhelming and sounds like an ARTPOP leftover. Also, doesn't she have a song called The Cure where she's singing about the same exact thing? 1 2 2 14

TrueBlood Posted October 25 Posted October 25 (edited) 2 hours ago, CoolNebraskaGuy said: I agree this makes me very excited for the album. Your expectations for the lead seem like they were way too high though, especially considering you have a negative opinion of her other lead singles… You baguettes hold this woman to an impossible standard. This is more or less what most of her original fans have been begging for a now that it's here it's not innovative enough or treads overly familiar territory? It's exhausting lol There's nothing wrong with having high expectations, especially in this case considering it's the "return to form" we were all waiting for. We're talking about Lady Gaga, I don't see why fans shouldn't expect high standards from one of the biggest popstars on the planet. And my opinion about her lead singles isn't even negative at all, I like them all. What you call it negative is simply the fact that, compared to their respective albums, her lead singles are almost always "safe", but (and this is actually a positive opionion) they almost never fail to introduce elements and ideas that are executed WAY better in her records. And it's not a case of "oh, she doesn't know how to choose her lead singles, this or that would have been way better". To me it's like she purposely craft her lead singles in a way that's very peculiar and it's a feeling I get every single time she drops a lead single . It has happened with me since Born This Way. And just like I already stated, considering that to me this song is surely better than both Perfect Illusion and Stupid Love, my expectations for the album are even higher than they were before listening to Disease. justin. Posted October 25 Posted October 25 1. Applause 2. Bad Romance 3. Disease 4. Born This Way 5. Just Dance 6. Perfect Illusion 7. Stupid Love And that's sincerely justin.
Kid A Posted October 25 Posted October 25 (edited) This is easily in her top 3 leads. Though her leads since BR haven't been that great imo. Edited October 25 by Kid A
Nicholai Posted October 25 Posted October 25 Bad Romance Applause Just Dance - Disease (i need the video to decide) Born This Way Perfect Illusion Stupid Love
Doctor Dick Posted October 25 Posted October 25 What are some of you talking about? The overall consensus is that she delivered what WE wanted. Not what you wanted. You're not a fan. It's easily one of her best leads and Liddos of all are the most critical when it comes to her and most love it. 7
Cqmerqn Posted October 25 Posted October 25 (edited) Bad Romance Disease Just Dance Perfect Illusion Stupid Love Born This Way Applause dont come for me pls Edited October 25 by Cqmerqn

Mau Posted October 25 Posted October 25 Bad Romance Disease Perfect Illusion Born This Way Just Dance Stupid Love
perfectillusion204 Posted October 25 Posted October 25 Not to jump to (likely false) conclusions, but if she doesn't post anything else all weekend… I'm starting to get the vibe that maybe she didn't wanna release this just yet after how the last month has played out for her. But her team said nope, sorry too late. And her response is: fine I'm not doing promo then. Again, likely not the case BUT just throwing it out there lol. 1
Blue Monday Posted October 25 Posted October 25 Song sounds GREAT but the actual lyrics leave a lot to be desired, though that doesn't really matter because sonically I'm here for it. This is her best lead single in several presidential administrations 1 1

Kristie Kuwa Posted October 25 Posted October 25 To me, a non-stan, her leads go: 1. Bad Romance 2. Applause 3. Just Dance 4. Born This Way 5. Disease 6. Perfect Illusion 7. Stupid Love
B-Luke Posted October 25 Posted October 25 1. Bad Romance 2. Born This Way 3. Applause 4. Disease 5. Just Dance 6. Perfect Illusion 7. Stupid Love I like the song overall (it's a grower too) but she's capable of coming WAY harder than this and I'm sure she does on the album. The build-up after the second chorus however is absolutely amazing it's like the perfect Artpop album outro the actual album never had 1
