Adam’s Eve Posted October 25 Posted October 25 Quote This is a tune that will stay with you like a curse, in a good way. Disease has got wicked case of the earworms, burrowing their way into your brain after just one listen. If the nymphomaniac parasites from David Cronenburg's 1975 body horror Shivers had pursued a musical career, this would be their signature song. 10/10 Not the bore worms! 6

GP is clearly here for dark gaga again 1
Babydoll. Posted October 25 Posted October 25 ok.... shes taking it..... very fun song, verses stronger than the chorus for me. hope its indicative of the direction of the album

HausOfJustin Posted October 25 Posted October 25 17 minutes ago, professor2000 said: Agree. I was reading a book on melody + rhythmic theory and it has me looking at these recent Pop songs differently. They talk about how when a melody sits on the downbeat mostly…it can come across boring. Or missing something. I think that's the issue. Production is solid…but I needed more from the melody. I had the same issue with Dua's "Illusion". What book is this?

May Posted October 25 Posted October 25 to me this seems too bland for a lady gaga lead single and the lyrics seem a bit amateur im getting tired of doctor metaphors in pop music too 2 5
psychodiva336 Posted October 25 Posted October 25 I like the song! It's definitely noisy and overwhelming, especially towards the end, but hey, isn't that kinda what we wanted from Gaga after numerous strippped-back records? She's back! Also releasing this for Halloween season is genius

Gabriel Posted October 25 Posted October 25 Stefani needs to upload her online store though and drop the video before noon...
Mupps Posted October 25 Posted October 25 Love everything about the song except the lyrics are so bad…seems like something chatgpt would come up with I'm so glad this song delivered in every other aspect though
AvadaKedavra Posted October 25 Posted October 25 When she released Joanne we were dissapointed how she scrapped frankesteined. We were also dissappointed how we didnt get any songs inspired by American Horror Story and she went full AC for 5-6 years with Joanne-Cheek To Cheek-Asib We been askin for years for that Witching Hour album or something with a darker atmosphere from her again and this is it. Chromatica was dark but more in a party way/futuristic/circuit party like vibe. Chromatica is the distant Cousin of Debut This album is the Sister of BTW/TFM. The Moirais of Pop it will be a good way to close the dark chapter of Gaga and then she can be happy and motherly with her boyfriend and Baby Gaga Hope she's full invested in this era. Look how katy perry even when she flopped to the max she gave them 3 videos and cool performances. Stand by your eras This is the time to support her and go 100% stan mode. We only have one Gaga and she's not like Taylor who's releasing music every year-all the time. Like i said some comments ago Im giving all my time and money and spreading this everywhere Last Year RedOne Followed Cirkus. I wonder if there's a Red song there I dont think it will but i would love it if we get one. 1 1

I think it's a good track but can agree after a few listens. She's kinda edging me at 3:03, if she went a just a little further there it would have been the punchy moment the song would really benefit from Edited October 25 by Sye

I wouldn't say a type of chorus could necessarily be more dated than any other. as a songwriter, I feel like what makes stuff dated vs. not dated is more on the lyrical and productional fronts. for example, a 5 word chorus that's repeated 4x could be cute and timeless on a folk song, but suuuuper f*cking dated on a type of electropop song 4
