TrymeB Posted October 25 Posted October 25 This is certainly a grower. It was played at a club in Boston tonight and it really goes off in that setting. No remix. Just the original. That said, I just played this at 1.1X speed and that makes the song just explode. Someone suggested it in this thread and they are absolutely right. 3

Especially the bridge where you hear the piano, it's very Downward Spiral coded. I'm obsessed. If the album has deep cuts on it of this quality, it's going to rocket to the top of my favorite Gaga albums. She EXCELS in this sound. We don't call her Nine Inch Nose for nothin'! 6

I guess once we knew Cirkut was part of the whole thing we should have known it wasn't going to be anything genius or experimental. exactly my thoughts... i'm a little bit disappointed that it's still a little bit too safe (probably because of Cirkut), but I have high hopes for the rest of the album based on the songs she was teasing. 1

The production is rich but just, you can hardly hear what she is singing, the auto tuned voice is so outdated. This song could be a massive flop on chats because this is totally not what the current climate would like to eat, monsters should be prepared for another ARTPOP size of charts failure. Ugh I hate to say this but this is a huge disappointment for me, especially after all these years with her powerhouse vocals and strong ballads with simple production, it is a waste to me for her goes back to this sound. Whenever she releases songs where she just belts most people complain that it's not what pop listeners/radio wants and that she should experiment more with her vocals and creative effects etc. I understand that you may not be one of those people but if that's the vocal style you like you have plenty of content to enjoy from her. Now THIS song is feeding people from her fanbase who have missed this darker, more experimental sound from her. Have you tried DWAS? I heard the DWAS is lovely.
TrymeB Posted October 25 Posted October 25 This song was made to be played in the car with the volume turned up or in a club setting. It has a big room sound and playing it on my ear phones isn't the same thing. Try it.

Kayseri Mantisi Posted October 25 Posted October 25 since i just saw that my reaction thread is unfairly deleted, lemme copy paste my thoughts here Okay it finished I LOVED IT A LOTTTT i love that the instrumental sounds like a track from Kim Petras' TURN OFF THE LIGHT but without any abusers involved also the song length is perfect she easily could've made it shorter for streaming but she preferred the art love the ahh sound she makes after the intro and chorus, so catchy sksnfmdm and the outro vocals are so cool i already feel like this song won't age terribly like stupid love 8/10 she did what?? THAT!! 6 1

I have high hopes for the album too because this is the closest to a Born This Way 2.0 we'll get at least when it comes to *vibes*. Worst case scenario, I'm counting on miss Stefani to have highs as high as Babylon or 911 in her arsenal. 2

I think it will took you few more years to like her art, because Gaga is truly one of the best from pop scene. 1
