Girl no, I'm a Gaga stan but these lyrics are not it. Do not bring Queen Kate down.

Gaga always likes to talks about her creative process and the depth and thought behind it and THESE are the lyrics she's writing after how long in the industry? A little embarrassing. I think the melody/beat could definitely save it and maybe the rest of the lyrics but this preview is a little cringe.

Being a doctor and curing someone and making a sinner "believe" are such over-done tropes in lyrics.

Chromatica and Happy Mistake are already deep, personal and wordy, can she allow herself to release a simple and catchy bop for once damn

Chromatica is full of wonderfully thought out, personal lyrics that are distinctly in her creative voice that no other artist would write.

Happy Mistake came out 2 weeks ago and also are full of character, charm and eloquence.

We have no idea what Disease's genre is. :michael: Lyrics don't exist in a vacuum.

I think it's possible to make a catchy bop without making the lyrics so darn simple and bland though.

They objectively are pretty generic and uncreative though. So I'm just disappointed as a fan who not only loves her but loves "dark" sounding music. There are so many other ways she can word certain things and be creative with dark imagery and I don't want her to miss the opportunity.

That being said I could still totally love this song depending on what it sounds like. We'll see.

I, I wish that I could dance

On a single prayer

I wish I could be strong

Without somebody there

If you read this out of context, would it be simple and bland?
