always makes me mad that this was the one that stopped the 5 consecutive #1 singles streak... it truly was the one that got away

The fact that is the "worst" performing single from the era and outlasted most of them lol.

This one must have more of a legacy than I realized. I always sort of forget about it when thinking back on that era.

Y'all gonna drag me if I say this Top 10 best in her discography ?

On another note, I remember having a random crush on Diego Luna who plays Katy's love interest in TOTGA music video during summer 2016. I would constantly watch it on YouTube lol.

It's crazy the longevity this song has had :jonnykin:. If you include the acoustic version it passed 1B a while back and has more streams than Roar :deadbanana4:

Legend spaz

I think it's because everything prior to it had gone #1 and the era was already 18 months old at that point.

“Firework,” “California Gurls” and “Teenage Dream” are just so definitive for her that everything else fades to the background

and yet Last Friday Night will ultimately become her most streamed song.  It'll pass Dark Horse eventually.

That’s surprising! One of my favorites of hers, though.

The fact that this and Last Friday Night are the most streamed tracks of Teenage Dream is insane

Talent won though

The fact this doesnt include the acoustic version wow

I remember crying when I first saw the MV of this song. Excellent song, both the original and the acoustic versions
