PYT Posted October 17 Posted October 17 People in general always picked Jennie and Lisa as the ones who will be the most successful in their solo music ventures. Rosé is often left out of these discussions but could it actually be her? Atlantic seems to be treating her well, maybe hoping for another breakout star like current Charli XCX or peak Cardi B. Like with Cardi B, she has a collab coming up with an A-list artist from the same label. Now whether it'll be a featuring or just a gifted song is still up in the air but it's looking like it'll be a featuring and her first single leading up to her album in December. Fun fact: Her cover alone of Until I Found You charted at the top of the Billboard Global 200, funnily blocking the artist that she is rumored to be collabing with soon Do you see it?
New Edition Posted October 17 Posted October 17 Jennie had the Weeknd and Lisa had Rosalia. Who knows maybe this collab will the one that really hits
PMM Posted October 17 Posted October 17 i need few years to say that. i won't be saying it now not hearing her stuff. 1
AxelFox Posted October 17 Posted October 17 I don't think she has the charisma and cool factor the other two have, so it'll be an uphill battle for her to become the most successful ex-member. 1

I guess I predict her going for that taylor/olivia/gracie singer-songwriter route or even some rock genre mixed in, judging by the covers she's done... 2
Pluto6 Posted October 17 Posted October 17 (edited) Jisoo is the actual dark horse, since no one ever expected her to release solo music, though her album is now the best selling album for a female Kpop soloist in history Edited October 17 by Pluto6 5 6

But could this be kind of an advantage to her while JenLisa share a similar kind of audience, she can grab some of Taylor/Olivia audience and the GP audience from the collab... 1

I don't think she'll be focusing on music tho so didn't include her. I was curious and I'm surprised to see Lisa's sales, it's lower than Jisoo and Rosé even tho hers was released after Rosé and she's arguably considered the most popular member...

Lisa has stock issues, YG constantly restock Rosé's albums she will soon reach one million meanwhile Lisa has been stuck with 800k since 2021. Jisoo released during album sales boom I don't see her outselling her debut. 2 1

aesthetic bih Posted October 17 Posted October 17 If she serves another bop like Hard to Love then yeah a smash is secured! 2

Rhythm Posted October 17 Posted October 17 2 hours ago, tkimari said: the most beloved in korea is jennie No, it's definitely Jisoo. Worth noting, though, that she ranks close to last just about everywhere else that's outside of the sphere of East Asia. To the topic of Rosé, would I consider her a dark horse? Honestly, no. She's been considered the most flexible and overall talented member of the group for some time now, as well as the most musically inclined being the only instrumentalist. Conventional wisdom has always been that she'd be the one to strongly prioritize a music career above the rest. Does she have a chance at being the most successful? Likely not, because her output so far has sucked and is the worst-received of all the members. Also, even with her own sizable fanbase, she doesn't have the social presence of JenLisa to usurp either of them. A strong success in her own right, though. Hopefully the new album changes the tide for her.
Doogle Posted October 17 Posted October 17 I actually thought On The Ground was the best solo releases of any of the girls during BP and she was my fave but idk. I didn't even expect an album off her so let's see but I picture it underperforming and her going for the singer songwriter thing. The other two have more cvnty cool appeal which she lacks (even though I preferred her vibe during their time together). Jisoo has Korea as yall said so I rly think Rose is just sort of stuck somewhere. In a YG dungeon 1
rickycabello123 Posted October 17 Posted October 17 so jisoo is a movie star now? im waiting for her.. but smart for rose to get bruno for debut
GentleEarthquake Posted October 17 Posted October 17 Rosé is the closest member to being considered an artist. I feel like the other ones lack artistic talent.
Polgg48 Posted October 17 Posted October 17 are you ready for ready for... cuz once your mine once your mine... Rosé is coming and she's not going back ot: yes bruno mars yes mega smash #1 global spotify for miss roseanne
