My opinion 

… creating a melody literally is songwriting though :deadbanana: You realize there is a whole world of music without lyrics, right? Do you think instrumental music writes itself?

My opinion 

Doesn't matter what you think, composing a melody is songwriting. Having said that, she didn't write the melody either. The "operatic bridge" is the same melody as the demo, she just vocalized "oooh oooh" over it. She deserves vocal production credit and I guess these days that equates to productions credits too.

Wasn't there a rumor that she heard Already Gone and then told Ryan she wants a song like that?
