To summarise: people watch music videos online now, MTV have made it difficult to watch live on social media, and thanks to social media, controversial "water cooler" moments happen all throughout the year, rather than one night in September. Ariana is hugely popular, with singles often debuting at #1, she's a trained comedian and skilled impressionist, so she's great at SNL, and 'Wicked' is highly anticipated. So no, not shocked at all. 1 3
