Vixen Eyes Posted October 12 Posted October 12 so i ordered six cassettes from a Canadian seller on discogs back in MARCH for approximately $78 CAD (like $56 USD) and i never received the order. i was the first of several buyers to not get their order and im certain i was just blatantly scammed. the seller said something about customs delays to "inspect" packages lol Quote Once it arrives, it will have have some sort of customs related stickers on it to inform you it went through customs. Doesn't cost you anything, just delays the shipping time unfortunately. I guess they just randomly select packages to inspect? their account doesnt have any items for sale anymore and there is no "seller isnt responding" button anymore in out order chat. is there a chance i could go to my bank and tell them the issue at hand here and see about getting a refund?
Aston Martin Posted October 12 Posted October 12 You could either file a chargeback with your card holder (which could get your account banned. I'm saying that only because I know some e-commerce platforms like Mercari will ban you if you file a chargeback) or you could tell your bank. They could either refund you the money (fraud protection) or tell you the necessarily procedure to file any case with any legal agency. You could also contact discogs directly? Either way, I hope you get your money back asap! 5
DAP Posted October 12 Posted October 12 Consult with a vigilante gang. They will have some services that would be helpful to you. 1
Subzero Posted October 12 Posted October 12 If you used PayPalyou should be able open a claim, PayPal has buyer protection, but I'm not sure on the time frame. If ypu used a card, I'm not sure what to do. Whenever I order from discogs I only use PayPal, just for safety because scammers are everywhere unfortunately. 1
popmusicisdead Posted October 12 Posted October 12 this is why i never pay directly using a card. always use a third party payment method or a site that has buyer protection that holds your money until you recieve your order 2

Attitude Posted October 12 Posted October 12 Depends what form of payment you used. Paypal and credit cards have a certain period you have to file a claim for a refund. I think the cutoff is 3 - 6 months depending on the company. If you used a debit card then you're gonna have a hard time getting that money back 1
beautiful player Posted October 12 Posted October 12 It took you this long to suspect something was off? 1
