A legendary movie :clap3:

Does it stand the test of time? I've only seen the one from 2003 and it was mid, I preferred Wrong Turn at the time...

Iconic! I love the OG and the 2003 remake so much.

Still sucks how they did Sally's character in the latest remake though.

Super iconic and groundbreaking film. Inspired a legion of horror films after it.

With that said it's really not my fave. The second half the lead actress just screams and screams non stop. Doesn't hold up to repeated viewings for me at all.

Now this masterpiece is turning 50 this year too and I'm HERE FOR IT. Truly the first slasher.

Black Christmas. I kept falling asleep.

Iconic! It has hold up pretty well imo. The meat hook scene always gives me shivers

Oh damn, that's wild. I think there's crazy tension and suspense as the phone calls get more menacing. Did you like the original Halloween?

I think I have really hard time connecting to 70s cinema. Like there are only few that I really liked (Chinatown, Taxi Driver, The China Syndrome, Midnight Express, Escape from Alcatraz, Stalker).

And I find that slow burn style of that era really boring. I watched Halloween for the first time last week. I didn't really like it.

That scene at night with the wheelchair guy has one of the most effective jumpscares :jonnyknife: And the dinner scene with the close up shots of Sally create such a perfect deranged atmosphere. Fantastic film

Black Christmas is a 10/10 horror flick. The shivers I had during the scene where Billy was behind the door djfjdkf. I could barely look at the screen during those final minutes because I was so creeped out, and I barely flinch at horror movies nowadays :deadbanana2:

The second part of the fanmade sequel film was dropped today and I'm gonna check it out tomorrow. It's insane that Olivia Hussey was actually going to play Jess again, but unfortunately had to drop it due to health reasons. It would have been so iconic to see her play the character again 50 years later

The older ones are great actually, I had never seen Part Two (1986) up until a few years ago and I was on the edge of my seat and kinda scared (I guess because I didnt really know what was coming, I only knew the og and its remakes) :deadbanana:

Oh okay you don't like slow burn, so yeah it wouldn't really work for you.

You'd love the movie Network.

The remake from 2003 holds up for Mike Vogel alone. His sweaty ass running all over the place, I was perched. :clap3:
