Velvet Night Posted October 10 Posted October 10 Honestly, I think she needs to fire her whole team and not only her manager. And then hire people that can better support her during this rise to fame and navigate the industry at this level. 5 4 1
PoisonedIvy Posted October 10 Posted October 10 This girl's entire career this year has got to be some sort of elite, chess level performance art 3
wish Posted October 10 Posted October 10 Chappell please I can only hope that this is a change for the better, but given the past few months it doesn't feel like it.
Attaboy Posted October 10 Posted October 10 I mean as a manager, think what a tough position he gets put in when she is backing out of professional commitments left and right. I can't imagine the paperwork has been pretty 11

Popular Post Truth Teller Posted October 10 Popular Post Posted October 10 Btw, this guy first linked up with her in 2019 when she was still signed to Atlantic and didn't have management at all and stuck with her after she got dropped, helping her make it independent. He brought in a publicist and helped her continue making and releasing music until she eventually signed with Island and blew up If he quit because she's impossible to work with, fine. But if she fired him just months after getting big, she's a major a**hole and karma's coming for her non-voting a** soon Except if he was embezzling money or something 41 1
UnusualBoy Posted October 10 Posted October 10 Weird, they've been together since she left Atlantic but it was probably her choice
CottageHore Posted October 10 Posted October 10 Y'all are so reductive all commenting the same thing, who even cares about this why is this newsworthy to any of us? 1 7

Buffy Posted October 10 Posted October 10 This explains why she seemed disengaged at the VMAs. The choreography was on point but her facial expressions kept giving "I don't want to be here. Get this over with." 1 4

Get this over with." what? she wanted to do the vmas, she cancelled her concerts for that last minute and that was her choice, no label or management would do that to a venue so carelessly. She was also extremely happy and excited talking to all her new rich famous friends there so she wasn't miserable, she was happy 3 2
Marla Singer Posted October 10 Posted October 10 "Parting ways" is vague. Was he fired, or did he leave?

Luckitty Posted October 10 Posted October 10 y'all are weird, why are people here trying to make it seem like chappell is a villain somehow when this is not uncommon in the industry?? olivia also fired her manager after blowing up 4 1 2
SupremeGoddess Posted October 10 Posted October 10 Chappel roan was a 24 month sociological study conducted by Harvard University and it has come to its end. 3

However, the team around her plays a crucial role in guiding her, managing commitments, and ensuring that things are handled professionally. If she's frequently canceling on people or making decisions that upset her fans, her team is clearly not managing things well either. It's a shared responsibility—her team should be supporting her rise to fame, not contributing to mismanagement.
Beyonnaise Posted October 10 Posted October 10 I love the amount of mess and divisiveness and daily antics she brings to the pop scene. It feels like back in the day. 9 3

I love a messy pop star! Also we don't know what happened yet so I am not gonna speculate. But it's interesting parting ways with your manager right before Grammy campaign starts. I wonder if he left her and I hope she gets a manager that will help her
