It has been hilarious to see Gaga stans pivot after the colossal flop that is Joker 2. A few weeks ago all her fans were sure she'd bag the Oscars and that Ariana would be ignored. I think a lot of people fail to realize how big Wicked is in general.

Wicked has a really great base material to adapt and if it does a decent job it will be a slam dunk. Joker took a big gamble with making a sequel to a nihilistic comic book movie a musical with a gay icon and it backfired horribly. So yes, it seems Wicked will be better unless they botch it completely but it doesn't seem like they did from the promo materials and early screenings.

probably, but it's a very low bar to clear. the Wicked posters look terrible though  it's giving graphic design is my passion

 

one thing they got right for JFAD was the promo pictures and posters, they always looked great
