It's not bad, it's boring,  The Substance is the best movie this year

if it's not the worst, it's certainly the most frustrating. Todd really had all the correct ingredients laid out for him on a $200m platter to make one the most compelling movies of the year by FAR.  and yet somehow he still managed to f*ck it up from every possible angle while also alienating every potential audience that could have been interested in it in the meantime  

 

i really need there to be a documentary made about this phenomenon within the next 10 years because it truly is a captivating mystery.
