KatyPrismSpirit Posted October 9 Posted October 9 I really want Katy to eventually release a Greatest Hits compilation (vinyl only, not streaming) Would you be here for this concept? It would be marketed as a double disc, two LP limited edition compilation. Title: 'Dreams of a Lifetime: Katy Perry's Greatest Hits' Tracklist: Disc 1: I Kissed A Girl Hot n' Cold Waking Up In Vegas Thinking Of You - Live at MTV Unplugged California Gurls (feat. Snoop Dogg) Teenage Dream E.T. (Remix) Featuring Kanye West Firework Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.) The One That Got Away Disc 2: Part Of Me Wide Awake Roar Dark Horse (feat. Juicy J) Unconditionally Chained to the Rhythm (feat. Skip Marley) Bon Appetit Never Really Over Harleys In Hawaii LIFETIMES 3

Gelato Posted October 9 Posted October 9 could be a nice gift for the fans if you remove the last song
Jay07 Posted October 9 Posted October 9 Yes her singles run is iconic. Also, it may be an unpopular opinion but Lifetimes and I'm His, He's Mine slot nicely with her older hits. 2

makeawish Posted October 9 Posted October 9 yeah, if i were going to put one of the new ones on it would def be the song with doechii
PopKills Posted October 9 Posted October 9 Add Milk Milk Lemonade as bonus track for that Tik Tok hit 1 1
Klein Posted October 9 Posted October 9 Greatest hits albums have become completely obsolete. They're just a glorified Spotify/AM/whatever essentials playlist. 3 2
oceans Posted October 9 Posted October 9 add walking on air, legendary lovers, peacock and hummingbird heartbeat and its a deal
Cry Posted October 9 Posted October 9 Well, you have "The is *x artist*" playlists which are more or less a compilation of greatest hits for said artist. And outside of hardcore fans, I don't think anyone would go out of their way to buy a greatest hits album nowadays.
Sannie Posted October 9 Posted October 9 No. The problem with being a singles artist your entire career (all five years) is that people already know your singles and aren't going to want to spend money on them... again. A Greatest Hits album would offer nothing of value or new to the public.
Burn Posted October 9 Posted October 9 I've noticed an increase in GH albums being released in the last couple of years and definitely a few that I've checked out and enjoyed. Not sure why people are against them. Now's as good a time as any for Katy to release one.

Breathe On Moi Posted October 9 Posted October 9 not the Lorde stan (love ya) trying to talk about one album with hits.. anyways, I think that's a splendid idea! 3 1
PaloSanto Posted October 9 Posted October 9 I mean it's not a bad idea but is she a strong physical seller to justify it?

STMG23 Posted October 9 Posted October 9 No it would be a lifeless thing devoid of something like hunger and therefore no, I doubt it would eat

zoldyck Posted October 9 Posted October 9 What would be the point of it? 1- You guys already have all of these songs 2- She is afraid to perform new materials by itself she hid all 143 songs in medley( VMAs, RnR, AFL). So you guys already got a roll-out of a greatest hit album 3- It will just replace TD on charts The only benefit, I see is her scoring another platinum album but at the expense of killing the units of TD (album).
