What's revolutionary about Sabrina she was the same 10 years ago :angelo: Sabrina is really smart and knows how to create buzz that's it but short n sweet is basic

Girl what's the correlation between reinvention and revolutionary? Sabrina has proven she can do pop, R&B, folk, country and rock while still having that brand on her songwriting and humor, she obviously is capable of have a reinvention style-wise.

On the other hand Olivia only has shown that she can do pop and rock with a little folksy elements, but she's on album two so she has still a lot to show/prove, but so far she hasn't evolved that much as an artists or have shown that she's versatile enough.

Eh both won't last too long, but Sabrina is definitely an industry plant of 2024 that will fade away soon.

despite limited interest from the GP, Guts still debuted with 300k+ sales which shows she is fan driven and those artists usually serve longevity.

Sabrina seems to have the same demo as Taylor (seeing the tour pics) though so we know she'll be here for a while too :suburban:

Olivia. She has the potential to develop into a more sophisticated alternative singer-songwriter type of artist like Lana. You can tell she has the taste and her musical influences and friends will help her get there if she doesn't get Obsessed with the rock/punk-pop shtick. Avril is not the lane you want to keep going down if you want to keep having a career Miss Liv.

Sabrina is a talented and fun girl, but people will get tired of her witty horny stuff and I don't know where she can pivot. Her career will mimic a Dua Lipa/Katy Perry like shift. Hits mean absolutely nothing to have a long successful career, we learnt this many times but ATRL refuses to accept it.

Olivia wins. She has a solid fanbase, and her artistic talent shines more than Sabrina. Once Olivia ditches that pop-rock sound, it's really over for the girls.

You are all acting like Sabrina didn't debut with huge numbers with her album plus still predicted to being at the top for a fifth week. She clearly has the solid fanbase, and have proved that she's not a singles artists at all.

Not even Katy, Dua or any of her peers outside of Taylor and Olivia did that with their biggest eras yet. She's clearly here to stay. Not to add that she's ambitious and works hard and fast so she will have this Ariana kind of rollouts for some time because she's always putting something out.

Olivia has strong Gen Alpha support and has proven to be a touring-force with GUTS despite it being a "flop" according to ATRLers. She's also 21 and almost done with her second era, so the 35 year olds on here insisting that she's done are just out of touch :michael:

Anyway, Olivia's career is off to a more promising start. GUTS was one of the most critically acclaimed albums of 2023, and songs like Can't Catch Me Now prove that she can do more than just piano ballads and pop rock. Olivia feels like one of those artists who isn't going to depend on GP support in order to be successful.

Sabrina could pivot too. Her current sound and image aren't going to last, but she's a songwriter, and this generation loves songwriters.

It's interesting that Sabrina is still seen by ATRL as an unserious one-dimensional horny bop maker as if she's just the second coming of Katy. Short n' Sweet is triumphant because it's so eclectic sound-wise. She's proving she can put her stamp on a lot of different styles. It kind of feels like she's just scratching the surface of her country-twinged glittery pop thing. Coincidence is pretty much a girlier Crosby Stills & Nash/Fleetwood Mac song. Don't Smile is a gorgeous somber midtempo disco lite song that gives Daft Punk.

Plus she's a songwriter, and people are interested in her celebrity personal life narratives, something artists like Dua can't say. She's much more in the vein of Taylor in that way, though she isn't copying Swiftisms verbatim. She can definitely pivot into something more "serious" sounding and see more success in the future.
