naval23 Posted October 6 Posted October 6 Beautiful There's a reason Simon Cowell called it one of the best pop records of all time There's a reason it won a Grammy for Best Female Vocal against super tough competition And it still is remembered today 5
ChooseyLover Posted October 6 Posted October 6 (edited) Her legacy is truly her voice and her activism and the way she adapted to the everchanging Pop landscape (for better or worse, Bionic was very iconic). I think the bubblegum Pop era of the noughties where Pop girls fought boy groups for the spotlight really shaped the following years of Pop music and the next female pop stars in a way. And many if not all of them have expressed admiration for Christina for all the reasons I mentioned above. Edited October 6 by ChooseyLover 10
Jay07 Posted October 6 Posted October 6 Every time a female pop album bombs horribly and irreversibly tanks the singer's career it is called her Bionic so she definitely left a mark in stan circles As for the GP, the over 40s remember her for being mean and unpleasant oversinging. 5 3 1 2
KatyPrismSpirit Posted October 6 Posted October 6 She had a cute hit on her debut i guess. Stripped was pretty decent. I liked the Candyman song and she looked stunning in the Hurt video. That's it! 1 1
mons†er Posted October 7 Posted October 7 Xtina has no influence because a lot of her discography is based off of trends and/or what her peers are doing at that the time. Christina was NEVER ahead of the curve and she was never a trendsetter despite what she & her fans love to believe. Whatever her peers did, she took it and made it her own which is something to applaud & respect. Even her album 'Back 2 Basics' was riding the retro wave at the time, just like 'BIONIC' was riding the EDM wave. Her first 2 albums are doppleganagers to Britney Spears debut album & P!nks 'Mizundastood' album. Christina does have legacy as a vocalist. She also still sounds incredible and has gotten better with time. Regardless if she is a mean girl, the woman is talented vocally and not many singers can and want to go to see her with the mic on. 1
NOW Posted October 7 Posted October 7 Stripped being a coming-of-age blueprint for a lot of teen idols transitioning to more adult records, along with Britney and JT. She's also a strong but inconsistent vocalist. When you see her name in a lineup, you can usually expect it to be a bit of a showy performance.

The over 40s? Like you right? Cause most of her fans are in their 30s. And then u get mad when people call u out. Don't complain next time. U are always trying to start arguments.
