I thought I read somewhere recently that DC Studios will have minimal involvement with WB as opposed to DC Films. So there's hope.

Joker is barley dc but yeah they need to focus on animation :fan:

Superman is debatable still, but The Batman franchise has been the only highlight in years. Aquaman II and The Flash had too much controversy surrounding the movies during their releases due to actors personal lives, and Wonder Woman 1984 was rushed, and uninspired. The story was weak, and it dragged on longer than it needed to. The rest? Heavy lack of interest.

They need to stick to stories that the public has been asking for before they can branch out into other character's stories. That is why The Penguin show from The Batman universe has done so well right from the start. Solid worldbuilding to a point you care about other characters in the universe, and how these different perspectives can connect with each other in an overall picture.

When they tried it with Justice League, they rushed it, and it fell flat. Everything since has been completely uninspired because no one has any reason to care for the stories they're telling. If they can't properly build a universe, they should settle for making good animated TV shows/movies. Their live actions need so much work.

I mean, I only check for Batman, so as long as those films remain intact, Warner will get a little bit of my coins. Won't be enough to save them though, I fear.

I think Warner is waiting to see how James Gunn's DCU does. If it flops with Superman and it's other projects, then i can see them selling.

They need to slow down. They're rushing everything and dropping millions on bad ideas instead of first asking "Do people want to actually see this?"

I have a feeling that Superman won't flop. James Gunn knows what he's doing.

I would say Batman 2 is safe, but with how Joker 2 turned out, nothing is safe anymore  :rip:

Let's wait a year to see how the new dcu will do vs marvel.

It will actually be entertaining

Superman and Batman are the it girls, so they'll save DC from embarrassment next(?) year

Personally I don't consider a Batman movie not clearing 800M a hit. He is the most famous of all superheroes at the end of the day.

DC is still an extremely profitable IPs with multiple other incomes (animations, toys, merchandises, tv series, branding deals, etc.)

No way on earth would they sell it away.

As long as the core ones (Batman and Superman) are not tarnished, they can keep milking it for decades.

The comic book fatigue is everywhere now. Just get over this tired ass genre that only burns money in CGI and overpriced bad actors.

sad cause I prefer DC than Marvel. Their BIG 3 ( Superman, Wonder Woman and Batman ) and JOKER are way more legendary than let's say... Spiderman, Hulk or the Xmen :coffee2:
