Letters From Adi Posted October 5 Posted October 5 (edited) So, I was just going through her Hot 100 chart history and I realized this girl is very weak in the singles department. She has had only 3 songs spend more than a month in the Hot 100 Top 10 (Bad Guy, Everything I Wanted and Birds of a Feather right now). It appears she's more popular in other Anglophone countries than the US. But does she have the potential to reach the Hot 100's summit once again? She topped it for a single week with Bad Guy back in 2019. Should she ask Nicki Minaj, Doja Cat, Drake or Eminem to appear on the remix of BOAF? Or maybe she should ask Justin for another remix? Calvin Posted October 5 Posted October 5 Yes. Anyone can get #1 with right track at the right moment. 1
Peak Now Posted October 5 Posted October 5 Never say never. Honestly if you had asked me before HMHAS came out I would've doubted if she'd even go top 10 1
diemoehre Posted October 5 Posted October 5 Probably. But the success of BOAF shows that it doesn't even matter. 13 1
Sabrina Carpenter Posted October 5 Posted October 5 she has more chance at going number 1 than O. Rodrigo 1 1 2
Flower Posted October 5 Posted October 5 She will for sure get a No.1 soon or later, but Billie will never be strong in the single department. And that's okay. She is more of a Album Artist. 1
Kiss It Better Posted October 5 Posted October 5 Therefore I Am would've debuted at #1 had she released it on friday BOAF would've gone #1 already had she released (better) video earlier 3
State of Grace. Posted October 5 Posted October 5 She obviously will, but Billie's success really shows that #1s don't mean **** if your songs become global classics. Happier Than Ever, What Was I Made For?, and Birds of a Feather are bigger than many #1s from this decade. 11

HTE also went Top 5 in all Anglo countries barring the US. Her lag is mostly in the US itself.

Roberto Posted October 5 Posted October 5 It's kinda shocking that she only has one #1 single, considering she is basically the biggest artist now. I think yes, it will eventually get another #1. 1
Arthoe Posted October 5 Posted October 5 Even if she doesn't, do we really care if she releases monumental songs like BOAF, Chihiro or Wildflower? I say this as a very light Billie casual, but her talent and actual dertermination to get better at her craft is what is gonna keep her afloat for a LONG time, not quick lil hits. 2
charmed23 Posted October 5 Posted October 5 She is truly Lana's protege. She can not score another #1 and still outlasts and outsells all the #1s. 1
Human Fly Posted October 5 Posted October 5 Ofc she can and even if she wont its ok. Hot100 #1 means nothing.
James_Joint Posted October 5 Posted October 5 Yes, she can, but will be fine if she doesn't. Imo the hot 100 #1's are becoming less reflecting of the biggest hits, and more so reflecting which artists are the most popular. How many songs now have debuted at #1, only to freefall after and end up less successful than top 10 hits that didn't peak at #1.
terrorblade Posted October 5 Posted October 5 she had her chances w hte wwimf and boaf but interscope is so trash
laqqinq Posted October 5 Posted October 5 Despite of them not going #1, she found hits in HTE and WWIMF (the latter went #1 in the UK and a few European regions). BOAF went #1 on the Billboard Global 200, and will now reach #2 (or #3) on Tuesday's Hot 100 chart, so that one in itself is capable of going #1, if it outdoes A Bar Song in points. So yes, she will get another Hot 100 #1 in the future, but she has proved that just cause her songs don't go #1 (or top 10, like WWIMF) doesn't mean they aren't (capable of being) hits. 1

Yeah like Drake and some of his forgotten songs hitting #1s… Also BTS 💀 While iconic songs like Oops I Did It Again, Baby and Bad Romance never hit #1 but are still remembered to this day… 1
Gelato Posted October 5 Posted October 5 she's one of the biggest artists rn, it's highly likely she will get another #1
pink lightning Posted October 5 Posted October 5 Girlie already has 9 Grammys and 2 Oscars, so I'm sure getting #1s in Hot 100 is not her priority but of course she can 1
